GONE WAY TO EARLY....everyfan everywhere truley i think had a place in there heart for you....thank you for bringing us so many years of entertainment
Gotta love them both. 2 of the top 5 fighters of all time on the same team at the same time! number 1 and number 4 all time. Probert, Brown, Wilson, and Kocur top 4 ever....and I'm a Bruins fan!
I forgot because he never made the big club. 83 was a great draft year for Detroit. They got Yzerman and then just drafted a bunch of fighters trying to find him a bodyguard. They drafted 3 of the best ever. lol
My team had a shit draft that year. I think Markwart was the only decent player they got, and chronic shoulder seperations ruined his career.
What you think about the players from then against the players of today for toughness? I seen a few of Kocur vids and wow he had a scary right, I heard of him hitting someone so hard he cracked his helmet, from what i gather Kocur was a fighter that would end a fight fast his rights were brutal, Probert on other hand can go the distance. As far as Wilson he was tough too, but one fight he had against nick fotiu he didnt do so well, fotiu seemed tough wow.
I think you have to judge a player by the era they played in. The fighters today are much bigger than they were even 20 years ago.
The helmet Kocur broke was Cam Neely's.
When Wilson lost to Fotiu, Behn was only a kid fighting a much older more experienced fighter. Kocur had the hardest punch ever, and Probert had great stamina. The only knock on Probert is that he didnt tie down his sweater to gain an advantage. He often lost when he jersey stayed on. Watch his fight with Ken Belanger.
@killertim101 Tiger was nuts, but he wasn't a great fighter. He lost most of the time. Cam Neely killed him, and Cam was just a kid.
Schultz was great, I agree, but he acknowledges guys like O'Reilly were better in his book Schultz wasTop 20, definitely, judging him on the era he played in, but not top 5 overall though.
Terry O'Reilly used to MAUL Tiger Williams and beat Schultz regularly, and he's not even in my top 10 all-time.

The Bruise Brothers were a Godfearing force that made the Red Wings an intimidating team. Always loved them beating up others.
