late to find a much slower time..

    Great job...

  • I wish these days were as good as the 50s, know what I mean? Modern technology and science but kept the whole deco style :)

  • @CSpannerz That's something I've been wishing for, for years

  • If I had a time machine that went back,..It would be the 50's..Rave on!

  • I lived it and man those were the greatest times in world history then that damn viet nam war changed the entire mood of the nation and we never got it back. It rained black rain on everything and its still raining.

  • I was there & the epitamy of the 50s to me anyway. Buddy Knox, Party Doll & Charlie Gracie, Fabulous. Great days7th Feathers youth club, London W10. Bill Haley. 13 women another great 50s number.

  • Beautiful time

  • Dang I think I was born in the wrong generation.

  • life seemed so much easier..

  • @TheOnlyAfroYeti So much simpler than now, yes there post was war but people focused on important things and really had fun

  • @gortbaradaklatu Your a lucky guy mike. Must have been amazing to live back then

  • I'm fascinated with the 50s, even though I know how terrible they were for my people.

  • prety little angel eyes was by curtis lee . i was born in 1943 so bought most of the hit records as soon as they were released , and then came along the beatles ,rock n roll was gone , so not bought a record since.

  • @ray482 I also bought the records I liked, but not until I had some exttra change. As a matter of fact I have "Pretty Little Angel Eyes" by Curtis Lee on a 45. Those Rock and Doo Wop sounds from the early 50's to mid 60's are among the best, but a lot of good songs came after that.

  • Send me back !!! love the '50s

  • I WISH I COULD LIVE IN THE 50s!!!!!!!

  • i loved the fifties when i was a teenager danced to this song mant times

  • I love the 50ts!!!!

  • i think whats all some about the 50s was everything was simpler and at the same time productive. we were making money, people had jobs, you could take a mans word for things. the 50s is the true american. may we never forget you.

  • Nope im 13 i wanna live in the fiftys sooo bad the only thibg good about 2011 is lax wresrling and laptops and ipods

  • @gta4rox47 Cool !

  • I came upon this video randomly and was surprised to see a place I recognize! The first restaurant with the cars pulled up front is The Sycamore in Bethel, CT. They have car shows every weekend in the summer and they still do car-hop service! They also make the best milkshakes around. Glad to see a small-town favorite taking the lead in this charming snap-shot collection.

  • The days of postwar america, a time when most american families lived in middle class homes. A time when we were compeating with the soviet union to be the most powerful country on earth. Although at the time we fear of a nuclear war with them, they did'nt seem to intertwine with the lives of american teenagers. we were a richer county at the time and gas prices were cheap. That means that teenagers could leave their neiborhoods and take their girls on dates. I'm 15 but those were the good days.

  • is thier a train or a plane out of 2011 headed to 1955.if thier is,Please stop and wait 4 me,I will raise my middle finger towards 2011,and I would glady embrace 1950s America, Imagine this ,actually going back to time when being A white Male ,was a good thing, and didnt make you the great satan.Im tired of women's bullshit feminism im tired of the minorities blaming everything on the white man,and not taking responsibility for thier own damn lives, great video big thumbs up

  • wow this makes my so sad living in this time period, I wish I could of been in the 50's

  • @MrNorthPaw

Assemble a collection of this music and pass it on.

  • i love 50's music especially doo wop and i would love if i could live as a teenager in the 50's. but i still appreciate the time of today.....even though some think today's music is bad....its not all about rap and hip hop. Techno is the new generation of music and im glad im apart of it because i believe the next decade is going to be memorable. but i still love the 50's. :)

  • COOL BRINGS BACK A LOT OF GOOD TIMES!!! ...Jimmy...

  • Does anyone remember the song Pretty Little Angel Eyes and who sang it?

  • @CountryRose41 Curtis Lee?

  • @jukeboxjunkie13 I dont understand why people ask questions like that all the time on youtube. I mean all you have to do is type the song in on google or even youtube and you'll get the singer.

  • @jukeboxjunkie13 Sha na na sings it 2,dunno if thats the 1 ur thinkin of :)

  • @jukeboxjunkie13

    The Castels

  • @CountryRose41 I just saw it on YT. 1961 sung by Curtis Lee.

  • I miss the fifties.... and I was born in the 90's.

  • The fifties lifestyle and music spoke to the teenage soul! What speaks to the teenage soul nowdays - gangster rap? Heavy metal? Mean Girls? Fight Clubs?

  • After 48 years I still knew every word. Great memories. We had the greatest music.

  • this is great

    best of all time

  • this is great

    best of all time

  • They have nudist colonies, why not 1950s colonies?

  • ohh how i wish i was a teen in the 50s last night i had a dream that i went back in time to the 50s :( why does modern life suck

  • @misfitkid408 It doesn't, you just have to learn how to live it. Many people pass through life, but very few live it.

  • haha memoires of all my girlfriends.

  • I think the beach boys sold more records than any group in the USA, So- Cal

  • I was born in 1995 and I love this kind of music, the real music!

  • i love this song

  • I am only 19 but it seems like days were so much better back than :(

  • we should all build a town from 1950s theme and all live in it!!

  • @Truthseeker95 I AGREE

  • im 14 and the 1950's seem like something out of a dream, a time of moral and family values, great music and style, and not to mention kick ass cars, it was a time where everything was done right, minus the segregation and racial prejudice, man i would love to have been a teenager in the 1950's. the 2000's are such a joke

  • im a 70's baby but i like classic rock from the 50's..

  • I wish the 50's style would come back! lolz

  • I was born in 1979 but love the 50's and 60's to death. It's what I listen to 80% of the time.

  • I envy my Nana Ellen she got to experiece the magic of the 50s. I'm alway's looking at her photo albums when I visit her.

  • GREAT video. Favorited and 5 starred.

  • 0:40 is that the woman that is in a video used in Michael Jackson's This Is It on the Smooth Criminal Part ????

  • It's Rita Hayworth.. Michael Jackson wasn't even born.

  • if u watch this is it you will notice he used footage of her singing blame it on mame, he put himself into the footage for smooth criminal :)

  • @jukeboxjunkie13 Stunning,gorgeous Rita.

  • amazing music, Booming economy, sweet cars, i wish i was there..

  • Wow, nice. I am 15 years old going to be 16. I wish my birth day to be 16 was July 7, 1955 oh man being 16 in 55'. the 1950's was, I think the best decade in Americas History. Great videos, I love them!

  • I'm 18 and I would have liked to live at that era, I think that it was so beautiful (I don't know if I said it right, my English is very bad)

  • Comment removed

  • @bloodless0

I agree with you, I am 18 as well. And your English was fine :)

  • We may have advanced in 60 years but time's were better back then cost of living, people had respect for others, kid's did as their mom & dad said. Other than the pc and cell(?) we were better off then. It was safe for kids to play outside & walk to school. Now?

  • You are right! I am 32 but was raised by my grandparents. Things WERE better then. If we could have today's technology with yesterdays values and respect the world would be great

  • @lerouxgirl you hit the nail on the head

  • lol, this looks like a commercial for new fallout game.

Seriously,i was totaly ready for a soldier in power armor at the end of the clip :D

  • Americans in the U.S then loved their Country. When things were made here and lasted for years. Anti- Socialist, now our politicians can be bought and we're are in debt trillions to a socialist country. Makes you wonder what the people of that era would think of, economy cars, DVD's and hearing route 66 is obsolete.

  • Fabulous tribute! I only wish the photos were clearer. I want to show this video to my students.

  • @Coupal1 .. Sorry about that. Most of them were very low resolution and no way to make them any more clear.

  • @jukeboxjunkie13 I think the grainy look makes it look more authentic... I thought you were being artistic!

  • man look how far we have gotten in 60 years

    amazing

  • i played this songe for my girlfreind

  • I love the pictures and the song.

  • I really like the songs from the 50's a lot.

  • I think everyone who wants to relive the 1950's should be able too!

  • @fr3sh2d3ath55 I wish i could. Just have to wait for virtual reality i guess lol

  • i wish i lived around the 50's :*) :D

  • @TimoStamm you to lol i want that to but i dunno why i'm 17 years old but still want to go back in time in the 50's

  • classy time ,good tribute!

  • special,..

  • we came out of WWII with a sense of achievement and commitment and honor and decency.

    where are we now? huh?

  • Bring me back the 50's!

  • O...this is so beautiful !!! You may keep all those rubbish from Liverpool .This is true music. 1.000.000 stars for this great recording!

  • Fucken A

  • I actually like the girls and women from the 1950s. The Blondes and the Dark haired girls with curly hair.

  • shiiit this times sucks i mean fuk the technology its al the same in the 50s you have everything that a man can wish for : fun, good music, good dancing and even hot chicks

  • Comment removed

  • yea i would LOVE to be alive in the 50's it looks a lot of fun aand all the things you could do and the music is different! actually made by PEOPLE, not machines and i hate how EVERY song sounds the same, its stupid. every song theese days are mostly remixes and stupid repeating words in songs

  • If i had a time machine i would go back to Southern California in the 1950s. The best Music, Cars, and suburban lifestyle. To bad it didnt last. I like to know who screwed it up

  • Wannabe gangsters and ghetto people who think its cool to be poor.

  • so your saying black folks and mexicans right?

  • @95MR2TO Most of this music was not from Southern California.

  • @jukeboxjunkie13 ya, alot was from memphis or nashville tennesee. thats were the place 2 be@ in the 50s is!

  • @95MR2TO the hippies screwed it up.

  • @annielwhite MY God you are right. Check out my answer on pg 1.

  • @95MR2TO blame the liberals and the hippies. They wanted free loading and freee pot. Also blame new immigrants that do not want to assimilate. The hippes wanted civil rights and environmental policy changes which was a good thing. The rest was all trashy. So blame liberals and hippes.

  • @95MR2TO Im pretty sure it was those damn hippies ;)

  • @95MR2TO Heavy metal, punk, and rap music screwed up the suburbs in the 80's,and the hippies and the vietnam war screwed up america.

  • @95MR2TO It was the Veitnam war and the Hippie counter culture that changed all that. Ever since people didn't trust our government, things in america started going down hill. But history does repeat itself so there is hope of a new generation of great music, cars, and a thriving american economy.

  • That might be so. But the 50's were a good time in place, though you might not think so. In the 50's you didn't have to worry about ipods, cells, and other things of the sort. It was a simpler time. Yes, it had it's draw backs, but what eras doesn't?

Hope all is well with you.

  • exactly. People are always searching for the garden of eden.

  • Ahhhh.. the good ol' days when gas was 20 cents a gallon and you got your oil checked and windows washed. I remember all too well going to the gas station and my Dad asking for, "2 bucks regualar," and we almost filled the tank... sighhhhhh.

  • yeah :(

  • Very nicely done. I really enjoyed this.

  • i wanna go to the 50's to, gydd so sickk

  • just today i was wishing i had a time machine so i can go back to the 50's and see if its as good as i imagined. i was born in the 90's but i love everything about the 50's. the music, the people, the atmosphere, the cars, the little amount of technology. i just want it.

  • what song is this?

  • "One summer Night" by the Danleers (1958)

  • I have to admit the 50's 60's, (mmm 70's) and 80's were the best.

I don't like the 90's xD I wanna see what was it like back them before computers all this technology are making people lazy xDD anyways i guess the 50's had really good music before rap :)

  • I agree with you gameonline13, back in those days you had to have a real talent in order to be called a musical artist. Todays music is just a message of death, drugs , and hate. When was the last time you heard happy, and fun music come out of todays world? Dance, and fun music started back in the 50's. At least thats what my dad continues to tell me.

  • Yeah your right... A lot of the singers are really bad like Kenya West and other rappers. I am not a fan of hip hop. Yeah your right. Well the 50's will always be forever.. Your dad must be lucky :]]]

  • i hate the new generation it sucks

  • I agree with all of you, many ppl do believe they were born in the wrong era, such as I. Although, many stores are starting to sell clothing for women like the ones they had in 1950's. The men in this era wear the ugliest clothing and not to mention baggy. A man should wear a dressy shirt and pants. I believe women should wear skirts and dresses. Back in the 50's, if a girl wore jeans in school, she will be kicked out, why not do it now?

We should bring the 50's back!

  • Tell me about it. People should dress better these days! stupid feminist movement...

  • Hi! I also believe I was born in the wrong generation, but help me bring back the 1950's! I want it to be the 1950's again, and I want everything to change! HELP ME BRING BACK THE 1950's!

  • True this era sucks we need to bring back the 50's. But with all this technology I think It's impossible.

  • Hey! I have felt that way all the time! It's good to know that someone agrees with me! It seems impossible, but if we start a trend, like listening to the music and dressing a little like it I think we can bring it back! We may not be able to bring it all back, but let's try!

  • I wear the style of clothing and listen to the music, but people in my school prefer this goth style... It's sad. But man I'm doing my best to try to bring the 50's back.

  • Same! Well, it's good to know there is someone else out there that is trying! I really do appreciate it! Thanks!

  • It's not about bringing it back.. that won't happen. Just be you.

  • time machine or wat !

  • Gosh I was born in the wrong generation...

  • 50's 60's 70's 80's and 90's is memberable

  • thanks for posting this, this is great!! i love 50's culture, wish i could go back and time and live thee for a few years!! thia will be perfect for a mod im working of for crysis!

  • haha I love the culture of the 50's aswell, its beautiful, true, and all the kids & teens were always out and about almost never coming home, my grandfather tells me stories of when he was growing up in the 50's, its amazing! haha

I know this is going to sound dumb, but if you go to the store, mostly eny store and if you happen to cross by the breakfast cereal isle, General Mills re-did their cereal boxes, haha like a 50's style, its so cool, I think their collectors items,=. i have one!

  • This song and video makes me wish it was June and I was sitting on my front porch in a pretty full skirt, drinking coke with the boy I was going steady with, talking about the happenings of that day, who said and did what at the drugstore down the street. Why can't I have that?

  • no problem. I love everything about 50's culture.

  • great video ill top rate it. i have the track one summers night given to me on a blank cd some 5 years or so ago,do you know the artists. thanks.

  • It was recorded by the Danleers. Sorry it took so long to reply, I didn't see it.

  • hey whats the song? thanks! && great video!

  • what a great video, I HAVE to show my grandfather this haha he's going to be preety excited!

  • What a lovely video, and the music is truly a tribute to the 50's. Thank you for posting it.
