As of February 2009, things are much worse.I just came from Patras and the immigrants are becoming violent bringing the crime rate up.

The residents are afraid to walk the streets even at daylight.

The truck drivers get heavily fined if an immigrant sneaks on their truck, and may even lose their truck.

The holding facilities are full of immigrants, so they know that even if arrested, they will walk because of lack of space.

The once peacefull Patras looks like a war zone...

The root of the problem stems from the past actions of Russia and the USA, and others and the ongoing conflict. Afghanistan and Patra are but nothing but pawns. At the end of the day its the common people, the civilians, the soldiers, the citizens, the refugees that bear the burden and suffer.
