Authors often record the basic plot on audio when writing a book, no where in that recording did L Ron say "This is what we, as Scientologists, believe". It sounds like a sci-fi story that he was working on based on the same spiritual (positive and negative energy) concept as scientology. Not likely ... L Ron states in one of the manuals for preserving Scientology that it is okay to lie, cheat or threaten any one outside of the "church" for any reason in the interests of the church. He also recognized and emphasized the importance of good public relations. So he probably does in fact know about the story, knows it is bull, but also knows that Scientology keeps his pockets lined with swindled money. Unfortunately, not all people are altruistic.
