i just can't understand people like in this video. You blame the dog because it bite the rabbit ear. Don't you think that it is your fault for making the dog bite the rabbit ear? you the one who put the rabbit with a dog so don't blame the dog!! It does not do anything it just doing its thing (Biting other animals) :P
@skyzone121 It's not like she yelled/hit him.. they need to live together from now on, so saying no when the dog is doing something bad to the rabbit is actually a good idea.
@dirtknees Well done, you can swear. Big man. Not denying dogs and rabbits can interact with each other! Plenty do. But in this particular video the bunny is scared.
@Illchangeitlater Dog's never chased the rabbit. Buster is now 4 years old and continues to run around the house and decking with the dog. Both have learnt the real threat comes from our 2y.o. daughter!
To all the animal freaks yes, the rabbit is scared but like most animals they eventually become friends. When introducing 2 animals, with such extreme differences such as those two, ur gonna have 1 terrified but it's not like it's animal abuse or anything.
Lol. The first rabbit i ever had was pretty grumpy. She would have given the dog a good swat by now lol. But now I have a little darling of a rabbit. She'd probably just hop down. lol
The bunny is very scared, you can tell that from his body language. This may be cute to watch for some but not me sorry. From an experienced bunny owner :(
I agree, rabbits should have extra attention because their smaller and more fragile than some animals, unless they get used to you, they think of you as predator.
Get your dog a chew toy, don't let it use the bunny as a toy they he can throw around, its not fair.
wish my dog could get used to my pet bunnies. i tried allowing my dog to sniff one of them and she tried to nibble on it. sorry dog, i know its your instincts but it ain't happening.
ok that dog is not testing to see if that rabbit is food by "first nibbling it and licking it" obviously you people don't have dogs. when a dog is being affectionate it licks the ears and eyes of whatever it is looking after just like its mother did to it. Its how it takes care of the animal. and i don't want to hear that this is animal cruelty because i had a female husky adopt a litter of kittens that were abandoned and protected it. so everyone freaking out needs to hop off the owner
@JennaMaeBeau although you may be right, it doesn't change the fact that a dog's teeth can hurt a rabbit. dogs are meant to nurture other dogs. my dog used to do the same thing with an old cat we had, but a bunny/rabbit couldn't handle the nibbles i'd imagine.
@JennaMaeBeau also i tried to warm up my dog to my rabbit and i'm sure she was interested in eating/biting it. i can tell the difference between her love licks/nibbles. her teeth were exposed, she was frantic, and when she licked the rabbit, she did it very fast and all over the rabbit's body. afterwards she started nibbling (almost would say biting) the rabbit. i instantly pushed back our dog and will never keep them around each other. it's just in the dog's nature to do that.
@Niniel28b o i agree all the way i have rabbits and i can say for a fact that that rabbit is terrified its sad to see all these videos of animals being mistreated and the owners r to under educated or not really caring to do any thing about it
That bunny must be terrified. The dog looks like it is about a second away from swallowing it whole. If you have to stop the dog when it starts nipping at the bunny then you can not trust him enough to let it get that close. Jesus if that dog wanted to get a little taste of that bunny it would be too late for you to stop him and your bunny would be dead. Not cool.
u must read this. once u have started there is no turning back. a little 10 year old girl was raped and murderded in 1945. her body was not found until 1947. then a boy last week read this and did not copy and paste this message. the dead girl appeared in his room haunting him and killed him. if you do not copy and paste this onto 10 vidoes in 30 minutes the dead girl will apear in your room tonight and haunt you and kill you. well you better start to
The bunny's like bitch I'm trying to chill!!! Lol so cute the lab just has to stop that nipping I had the same problem with my dogs and my bunny but they stopped its all about boundaries
omg that poor rabbit is frozen with fear thats like a child sitting down with a pit bull in his face why would u do that ....~~(:~~
Most of the time not, as you see dogs are natural predators to rabbits, and your dog might kill her. dont bother commenting back its my opinion and if ur going to post a video ur subject to other peoples comments .
@Xyros11 i agree aparently one day when the owner is not home and the dog gets the rabbit all shes going to see is fur and blood ...then shes going to be awwww poor thing .she will most likely get another one to torture
hey, can you keep the two together without Cody getting a bit too playful and possibly hurting Buster? Because I have a labrador too and am thinking of getting a bunny. thx
Poor dog. He wants to play with the deformed dog lol. I wish my I could introduce my bunny to my dog. But my dog would kill him from being too excited :/
he looks like he wants to eat the bunny or grab the bunny by the throat but he doesn't do it because his master is there. Probably just awaiting orders to KILL!
believe me, you do not want the dog to do like that with a rabbit .. the dog seems to love the rabbit, but not as a friend, like food. Bunny does not like the dog.

yeah, the lab might like the bunny. But the bunny is terrified. You're torturing the poor animal by letting the dog do that.
Did you know it's common for animals to poke potential food first, then nibble it, then go for the kill if they decide it *is* food?
Just saying...
