For most Hwaongdo assocaitions, you must Black belt in Tae Soo Do INTRO martial art first. So I'd say a good 6-8 years for Tae Soo do to get Black belt, then a further 6-10 to black belt Hwarong do.

Then you have the option of training with weaponry ((another couple years.)) For an actual Master? Probably 20 or more.
