This sounds so good! I want to hear it all the time - the sounds feel as though they come from within me - as though I've been waiting to hear them forever.
Diesel Bodine, you are quite the accomplished musician. Could you please elaborate as to where you studied music and with whom you have studied with? Thank you...
Thanks Aeuros. I am primarily self taught, but I did take some lessons and even went to college briefly majoring in music. Hitchhiking as a young man 20 miles one-way to college nipped that in the bud unfortunately after a couple semesters, plus I moved out-of-state. Thanks for visiting! 8-)
Thanks Andy! Gee, I got off of work today! I'm working on some Xmas music for those who like that kind of stuff. How ya' been man? I hope you make something new soon. 8-)
I am working on a new arrangement of the Richie Cole tune 'New York Afternoon'. This is for the Cole fans who have been sending me hate mail. I've also composed a new 3/4 tune whilst I was on holiday in Tunisia. There also a new Bodinism video with John Fox and others that needs completing.
2. The trouble is Im always busy around this time so it will probably be the new year before I get organised. Anyway Happy Christmas or Pagan festival - depending on your point of view.
5* This vid was wicked , I loved the music the graphics were awesome. I went to Egypt in 2000 on a cruise with my younger son he was 4 years old at the time. The Squaddies warned me it is a £5 to go up on the camel & £20 to let you down again LOL . Lindamac xx
Scot was glad to get back home it was truly one of the 7th wonders of the world the 8th was surviving the gruelling trip LOL made me appreciate what I have in life. xxxxx
great again, just subscribed, look forward to more of your music, i bet you got some really great original comps, would love to hear some. Even just some random noodling would be awesome seeing as you have such an obvious understanding of that fretboard,
20MOJO20... Thanks! Oh, I'll have more new music and everything else I do coming along as time permits. Thanks for subbing and checking out my stuff! 8-)
Thanks again Ed! I've spent most my life poking around within the musical realm one way or another. It's a great joy to be able to share what I do with those that are interested.
Phhht, Brother D.! You're funny! Hey, I'm working on another new one... what else? Thanks for your notification. The "great Bodine," a legend in his own mind! What a small mind it is. LOL & 8-)
Hi Frank. I usually don't get too crazy with my interpretations of tunes, say like an Esquivel would get, but maybe in the future sometime I'll do something a little more wild with a tune. Thanks for the visit! 8-)
Hey Scott, really creative this with great sense of humor,(the serious rythm guitarist) That was a Coral guitar Right? Heard Pat Metheney perform with it,it has a very citar-like sound fits in great here in the solo-section.Man you gave this Tune a Bodine-Vitalize injection and now it's living a life of it's own, a great Vid,you put in alot of time but you had great fun doing this, very good own interpretation Scott,Greets Victor.
Thanks Vic. That's just a remake Danelectro Guitar a friend of mine gave me a while ago. He had loaned me his Coral Electric Sitar, too, which I had used on the "Palak Paneer" music/video. Yeah, it took a while to do the arrangement/video, but it was fun, too. 8-)
I'm ok, thanks for asking. Not had the creative impulse for a while and not been spending much time on YouTube unless people share videos with me, like yours !!
Thanks Brother D! I'm glad you and most of my Subscribers like what I do here on the Tube. The people I know in real life couldn't care less. A friend was by this morning. I wanted to show him my videos and he wasn't interested in seeing them. I showed him a few anyway and he wasn't interested. Screw my real life friends. I'll share my stuff with those that enjoy it. 8-)
Hi Freddy! Yeah, I know that girlfriend you had... I married her for a while until she left me to hang out with the French Foreign Legion! She wanted to be near the real Arabian sounding music. LOL & 8-)
That Camel/Diesel engine introduction makes one immediately sense this is going to be unusual - not to mention all the interactive scenarios involving a camel and truck. I really enjoyed it, Scott. What did you use for the deep resonant bass? Looking at the expression on the guitarist's face, we know who's the real slave driver in this Caravan.
Hey Diesel... Man what a blast! I was right there in that caravan, sweating my eyebrows off! Then suddenly I was in the ol' West, watching a belly dancer (Don't know how that came into my mind!) Maybe it was one of those gorgeous gals in the saloon. I was half expecting a gunhawk to come in and shoot the guitar player out of spite! Cool Scott real cool.
Thanks for the visit and swell comment, Paul! That's cool that you were in Egypt! I hope you had a great time. I'd love to see some of those humongous Nile Perches! Oh, yeah, and all the cool pyramids and other relics from Antiquity!
Hello Barry (useryug). I guess I better differentiate between the Barrys so you know my response goes to your comment! I don't have any Sunglasses. I guess I better get a pair. Hey, I don't have room in my flat to walk like an Egyptian. Too much stuff all over the place! LOL & 8-)
Thanks Barry. I just shipped you my Martin Guitar. If it doesn't arrive it's because it got lost by the shipper. In the mean time, I'll play my other identical Martin on my new videos. LOL & 8-)

Sounds familiar ... I recognise the three semitone jump from 'Misirlou'. Is that harmonic minor?
delbhoye 4 years ago
Hi Derek. Here's a comparison of the Harmonic Minor scale you're asking about with the 2 scales I previously mentioned:
Harmonic Minor: c - d - eb - f - g - ab - b
Jewish (Ahaba Rabba): c - db - e - f - g - ab - bb
Double Harmonic: c - db - e - f - g - ab - b
