so you install java then the magical elves convert the file to myJar.jar.exe(.jar) ! You didn't install the JDK which would have been the software that would have had the tools to change the code.

I don't care if you rename your .jar to .jar.exe it is still a jar (Java ARchive) and you will still need a JRE to run your .jar.exe file.

Our exe didn't even need java installed to run, that was the point of it.

@glnwls2k ok first of all an exe is a windows binary file. that means your windows pc should run it with out any alternate run time environment. a jar is a java created file. my cell phone could run it. learn what an exe is before you make a video about it or call anyone a retard. especially a java programmer...

lol i dont know why so many people have seen this pos video. it was made to make a point to some dick on some java forums who thought that jars were better than exes, and there was no reason to make an exe out of a jar. but yeah our post was deleted since its against the sun microsystems terms of service to package their libraries like this. as for making an exe into a jar, that would be a completely pointless task, who the fuck would want to run a jar lol

actually this dick does lol perhaps you can help me. Recently downloaded a file in .zip form, unpacked and installed it but it uses a .jar file to run it. Will downloading the latest Java prog or drivers allow it to be used? Since, like your video, it says that the computer doesn't know what prog made the file.

Sorry for such a mundane question but i'm used to handling .img, .dat and .mds files when an .exe isn't involved.
