  • What actually happened in that cave was this. It was so heavenly that you actually died in there. In the afterlife you got to paddle again because you paid your council tax and parking charges on time. You were given a second chance in life. Jesus managed it too but not for long. He was reborn as TheJesusof.............

  • @onlywhenpissed No..........it's all because I paid My TV licence...........THAT is the deciding factor...........ha ha.

  • @GBPaddling You'll have to enlighten me. What is a tv licence? I've never seen such a thing.Better things to spend money on such as paddling.

  • @onlywhenpissed You'll not be saying that when Lucifer is branding your arse with a hot Iron, ha ha.......

  • @GBPaddling - thanks for the comment,+ for the tip & films re: Eilean Shona - we had already been discussing a circumnavigation, and you've confirmed to me that it;s a good idea..

As a man of serious and committed faith, I feel I ought to say that I do totally believe God uses experiences like this to grab our attention and call our minds to higher things... Thanks for sharing, and I hope that in time you'll find a less fleeting light than you expected...

Hope to see you on the other side,

    P

  • @thephmackenzie Well, hopefully, you're correct, and I know I've been a good boy, and will have nothing to fear in the Valley of Death. Quite a bit of quality is lost in uploading to YouTube, and I cannot emphasise how utterly amazing it was in that Cave. I accidently timed it to perfection as well, with the time of Year, and Day, achieving the perfect angle for the Sun to penetrate, just around the corner of the Cave. Probably a once in a lifetime experience.

  • I live in Cardigan and have watched your videos made on this coast. I did a one day course last week on a sea kayack and was put off a bit but your videos have inspired me to take it up. They are excellent. I'm checking out Kayacks now and looking towards the local club for some advice. Cheers mate you've done me a great favour by posting these vids

  • @ludwig325 Remember, you can't learn it all in a weekend,it takes time.I'm still learning yet, probably never stop learning. To get competent, and confident will take at least a few months,so don't worry. You have on your doorstep, one of my favourite Paddles - a real classic - Poppit to the Witches Cauldron, pick a calm day,a falling tide, and you will have an amazing experience, and there are a lot of easy classic Paddles in Mid wales, also some hard, but they will be for later..........

  • Wonderful. Stunningly so! Thanks for your recommendation. The beauty of the earth, for me, is a taste and shadow of the eternal world. Eternal life begins in the here and now but it has an eschatological dimension beyond this life that is hard to explain. I can't explain the wind or where music comes from. "There are more things in heaven and earth ..."

I love canoeing and boating on Finnish lakes (over 188,000 to choose from) and among the many sea islands/skerries (ska"rgorden).

  • @Johlibaptist Well,I don't know what the hell your on about but it sounds like a compliment so......thanks ha ha.Only joking, but I would be lying if I knew what ESCHATOLOGICAL means, just, that it's pretty deep, I suppose, that will do.

  • @GBPaddling

Oh dear, I seem to have waxed too theological and "pseuds cornerish". In plain English, eschatological means "relating to the end times". It has some deep meanings, but many would settle for deep waters and earthly delights. Heaven on earth?

I recommend the Finnish lakes and the archipelagoes in June when the water can be warm, particularly the shallower lakes, as the sun can shine for almost 24 hours for days on end. The clear light and fresh air are heavenly.

  • I think they are indeed spiders.

If your mossie net is good it must be a Highlander net.The one i have, scotish mossies walk through the mesh bite you and walk back out .

  • @H202On My 1st camping trip to Skye, our Stephen who was then 7,came back from the toilet block, and overheard a German couple, who were wearing mozzie nets and whispered"Dad,them people are talking Scottish!" well we were already laughing at these" foreigners wearing stupid hats" with mesh round them, and this made us laugh even more.As dusk arrived,we weren't laughing and were asking them were we could purchase said "Stupid hats" absolutely essential in these parts.

  • Fantastic quality this one Frank, the detail in the cave was awesome.

Will the dvd be out for xmas. " Frank's Wild Paddles "

  • @stevenatleven Stop putting ideas into my head! ha ha we could all do with a bit more coin around Christmas though.A lot of the detail has been lost whilst uploading, the particles just floating about in the air in the cave were amazing,I have given it much thought since, and the only conclusion I can draw is that they were spiders in webs? seen some big gruesome spiders in sea caves and wonder how the hell they survive a storm, but survive they do.

  • Another Perfect paddle.Always enjoy your vids.Stunning scenery great caves.Your own music too.Plus i always get a laugh at your commentary. The mossie net looks the part.Keep up the great work.

  • @H202 The mozzie net is just totally essential £2.99,bargain of 2010!The previous night at Gruinyard was just a mozziefest, down in a dip out of the wind,I came across it by accident in a camping site reception - lucky accident for a change!
