I tell you: Don't get a Laptop for gaming! That sux! Get a Tower put some nice stuff together will make work your crysis much better than on a shitty laptop. AND GET A 26" Full HD XDDD

it depends. There is a new version of the 8800GTS out now, it is the 512MB version. Although it is a bit better than the 8800GT, the price is not justified and therefore not worth spending the extra money on. The 8800GT is cheap for what it can do...
not really, most 8800GT's get hot because there is a flaw in the bios which only allows the card to run at 29% fan speed, but by using a program like rivatuner or even the Nvidia control panel you can manually control the fan speeds and get much better cooling as it was designed to be.

Yes, but even people with Ultras are struggling. The thing is, Crysis was made more for future hardware, maybe a year from now that will be able to handle the game completely. Today's hardware cannot play Crysis smoothly at Very High settings. So although with an E6750, 8800GTX you will be able to play with good resolution and settings at pretty smooth framerates, you wont be able to max everything out.
haha i played that demo and man its a pretty fun agem... im running an X1600 pro, pentium D 820, 2 gigs of ram and on low i got about 20-30 fps and at me dium i got about 10-20 fps... i tried it on high but i got about 5-10 fps :(
during play at my settings it goes anywhere from 15 - 40 fps, it varies depending on how much is happening on the screen, but playable, even at its lowest fps. During the in game "movies", around 10 - 20 fps. It's a big range, but I'd say an average of 20+ fps with the settings as mentioned.

I ordered an 8800GT 512MB as well, can't wait to get it. Although I don't know how much of an improvement it will be over my 640MB 8800 as it is, but from most benches, it should add (hopefully) atleast 10-15fps, which should atleast give me the option to go 4x AA (4x vs 2x AA is a big difference from what I have tested). I have to admit, since the game is already kick ass, it won't hurt to have it look even better.

Well, the foliage leaves aren't rendered the same way as the objects, so there isn't as much effect from A/A.

wt.. but 8800gts 640mb has 320bit and 112 SP. 8800gt has 512mb and has 256bit. shouldn't 8800gts be faster than 8800gt?

i'd rather turn up the resolution high instead of putting on aa, it's less intensive than aa and it's hard to see jaggies at high res.

demo doesnt support sli, so maybe 2 gf8800ultra in sli + core2duo e6850+ 2gb ddr2 could make it all to very high with decent frame rates
