Meta Ridley was my favorite boss battle too without a question. I did like a lot of the boss battles from Other M as well like Phantoon and Nightmare Idk why people rip on Other M so much I thought it was fantastic maybe it's because I'm not a super hardcore Metroid fan maybe.
Ugh, Meta Ridley. He's the reason I gave up on Metroid Prime 3. I just can't beat him. I ALWAYS play on the easiest difficulty, and I played around with sensitivety settings, but I just can't kill him. I just can't.
Awesome Metroid's Top 10 Boss Battles, I really enjoyed every bits of it. I also liked the part with Nightmare, especially the scene of it from Other M screaming of terror, it scared me as f*ck. I agree with the number 1 100% of it. Really great top 10 ^^

FUSION IS BETTER THAN SUPER METROID! Super Metroid was awesome, I give it a 10/10. But seriously. Everything in Fusion was just... perfect! The game had a conceivable villain who wasn't totally cliche, the soundtrack was amazing, and it was a successful reboot to a series long considered over. To top it all off, it sold 2x as much as Super Metroid did ever.

My number one favorite metroid boss of all time is probably Metroid Prime itself. God that was always such a fun epic fight for me, with some incredible music. But i think every metroid prime game had AMAZING final bosses. They were all so incredible and atmospheric and feel oh so satisfying.

Too many bosses from Prime... the fact that the SA-X from Fusion and Draygor from Super are absent on this list but Iceman and the falling Ridley throw the legitimacy off a little bit... still a great list though.

Some boss fights, they just scream "Okay, this was supposed to be. Let's get it on!" SA-X felt like "Well, gotta beat you to get to the next room. (ie miniboss)" I just think it should have been more difficult and felt more like a showdown. I remember beating the SA-X and not really feeling proud.

First off, Ridley didn't stop Samus from entering the crater. Apparently destroying the pillars and the portal machine was completely pointless. Personally, I think the battle could have worked better if he attacked her after she left the crater. But hey, it still kicks ass.

I'm surprised that this game is considered for kids. We're talking about a series with creepy or scary music (just listen to the song that's playing when fighting Thardus) and even scarier monsters. And did you see what Samus did to Ridley in (I think) Mertroid Prime, you know, when she fired those shots in Ridley's mouth, all I could say during that scene was "WTF, This si a kids game right." Almost the same thing could be said for LOZ.

And thus, Touhou: Other M became Hilarious in Hindsight because someone uploaded videos of a Touhou fangame where a character is portrayed as Samus and called it "Touhou: Other M". 7 months later.
Quadraxis is really a great boss. It's one of the few high points in a game I otherwise hate.
Don't get me wrong, I love Metroid. Other M's just okay, but Prime 1, Super Metroid, Metroid: Fusion, overall fantastic. Dunno about 3, since I've only played about... one hour of it. Though Prime 2 just felt drawn out, repetitive, and boring.
@Flametalon163 A gamecube plus the game is worth around $34 if your in the US. I would recommend that offer. Try trading in games you don't want anymore for store credit.
it's a giant angler fish with devastating moves, but if you can fish it out by exploiting its greatest weakness (frogs) it has to fight on land and is much easier
@Platinumeevee94 It's because in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. In the final battle battle with Ganondorf, you can take out a fishing rod and (i'm not sure if this is out of a glitch or an easter egg) but he will sit there and stare at the fishing rod allowing you to slash away at him and he wont defend himself.
I wish SA-X would have been on the list. I mean she was built up from the very begin of the game, you were always afraid of her since you knew all you could do was run. Then the fight was on, you were gonna pay back for all the shit she put you through and it was time to lay the smackdown.
Though, gameplaywise it wasn´t al that great since she was rather slow to react, could easily be avoided and had only 2 attacks, screwattack and ice beam.
@Greil9 The second phase of that battle was a disappointment, it was completely unexpected and beyond easy. I mean, all it does is jump trying to land on you.
I love Archenemies and Arch-Rivals. In gaming the heroes Arch enemy is usually the final Boss(seriously, Bowser's the last in EVERY Super Mario game) yet, in the Metroid Series, Ridley is Samus' archenemy yet is Never the Final Boss. What up with dat?
@sonicsaiyan07 hmm, not sure. we all know why Ridley isn't the Final Boss for Metroid and Super Metoid. I can even see it in Fusion. Whenever there are Space Pirates, Ridley will be there. But, why in the hell is he never the final boss? He is the bane of Samus's existence. The biggest suprise is that he keeps coming back. Oddly enough, Zero Mission's Final Boss has to be the least impressive Meta Ridley I seen so far.

And did you see what Samus did to Ridley in (I think) Mertroid Prime, you know, when she fired those shots in Ridley's mouth, all I could say during that scene was "WTF, This si a kids game right." Almost the same thing could be said for LOZ.

There was only one problem with the Mother Brain fight. It led to Depressed Other M Samus. "THE BABY! THE BABY!" I hated Samus SOOO much after that.

Quadraxis is really a great boss. It's one of the few high points in a game I otherwise hate.
Don't get me wrong, I love Metroid. Other M's just okay, but Prime 1, Super Metroid, Metroid: Fusion, overall fantastic. Dunno about 3, since I've only played about... one hour of it. Though Prime 2 just felt drawn out, repetitive, and boring.

it's a giant angler fish with devastating moves, but if you can fish it out by exploiting its greatest weakness (frogs) it has to fight on land and is much easier

@Platinumeevee94 It's because in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. In the final battle battle with Ganondorf, you can take out a fishing rod and (i'm not sure if this is out of a glitch or an easter egg) but he will sit there and stare at the fishing rod allowing you to slash away at him and he wont defend himself.

I wish SA-X would have been on the list. I mean she was built up from the very begin of the game, you were always afraid of her since you knew all you could do was run. Then the fight was on, you were gonna pay back for all the shit she put you through and it was time to lay the smackdown.
Though, gameplaywise it wasn´t al that great since she was rather slow to react, could easily be avoided and had only 2 attacks, screwattack and ice beam.

I love Archenemies and Arch-Rivals. In gaming the heroes Arch enemy is usually the final Boss(seriously, Bowser's the last in EVERY Super Mario game) yet, in the Metroid Series, Ridley is Samus' archenemy yet is Never the Final Boss. What up with dat?

@sonicsaiyan07 hmm, not sure. we all know why Ridley isn't the Final Boss for Metroid and Super Metoid. I can even see it in Fusion. Whenever there are Space Pirates, Ridley will be there. But, why in the hell is he never the final boss? He is the bane of Samus's existence. The biggest suprise is that he keeps coming back. Oddly enough, Zero Mission's Final Boss has to be the least impressive Meta Ridley I seen so far.
