I am a pediatric nurse. In regards to your comments about ataxia being caused by the tumor itself causing ataxia vs radiation causing ataxia, you have to understand that in Susan's case, the radiation caused the ataxia because the cerebellum controls balance, and her tumor was not in her cerebellum.
Your grandson may have had ataxia due to his tumor because of the location of the tumor. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water!
I was considering this method until Gerald Dryer blamed ataxia on the radiation. My grandson had ataxia before he was even diagnosed. Why aren't the major universities picking this up for research? I wish there was research to back this up. I'm still on the fence with this.
@afflygal I hope in the last three months since you've wrote this you've done more research. Did your Grandson have brain cancer? Apart from radiation, brain tumors are one of the causes of ataxia, as well as other focal lesions of the central nervous system. Prior to ataxia this woman had a golf ball sized tumor, 2 brain surgeries, and radiation. Do not imply her ataxia was a result of antineoplaston treatment when all of these things prior to antineoplaston treatment are know to cause ataxia.
