But what I find really sucks ass is that all it takes for a P-plater to lose their license is one measly fucking traffic fine..i think its a bit extreme and major BULLSHIT...just because of a few dickhead hoons the rest have to suffer and pay for it. I reckon its extremely UNFAIR actually.
P-platers have no business breaking traffic laws in the first place. The number of points you get is a measure of society's tolerance of your bending the rules. The fact is a high proportion of young drivers are dangerous and being caught for 4 points of infringements in one hit is a pretty good indicator. It's perfectly fair that you should lose your licence until you grow up a little more. If you're not a "dickhead hoon" why is it so hard to hang onto your 4 points? Most people manage.

There is no test to prove you will drive sensibly when nobody is watching. Until somebody invents it, I guess we're stuck with the stats and you're stuck in a category with a bunch of idiots.
Performance is only dangerous because it gives you less time to reconsider, and makes it easier to get carried away. Even for the relatively sensible among us, 5 seconds is not long to reconsider a moment of stupidity. Probably best you're not doing 150 clicks before reason kicks in.

I disagree with the prohibition of p platers driving turbo/high performance cars.
A p plater in a hybrid prius can still stray onto the wrong side of the road at 80kph and have a head on accident.
The bad p plate drivers are ruining it for the good ones.
