I went to the strom thurmond federal building today and they have otis elevators that have been modernized by schindler or kone because it had vandal resistant fixtures. filming was strictly prohobited so I couldn't film it, I was there getting something for my college.
It is an office building. Bank of America Plaza'a are very tall and most of them are restricted. This one in Columbia (17 floors) requires badges through turnstiles.
@elevatorgeek88 I am not sure if the building ever had turnstiles. crapper1 told me he thought he saw them before getting kicked out, and I assumed he was right, but I never had actual confirmation that the building had them.
This is a ThyssenKrupp elevator with Epco WNR Series fixtures, and the floor bell sounds like the ones used on UT Austin's Dover elevators from the 1990's.
They could be Montgomery/Kone elevators with Epco CircleLine hall stations and WNR Signature Series car stations with type "A" triangular lens lanterns.

@escalatorgeek881 I passed through this place today and they removed the turnstiles but there was a guard there so I didn't go in.

The lobby signal fixtures are Epco CL Series CircleLine fixtures, and the car signal fixtures are Epco WNR Signature Series.

Does it matter what button you push to go up on the outside?
Ih8escalators 3 years ago
No, you can push either of them to call the elevator.
