What happened to the majorettes? I guess we've lowered the skill level to stripper status because that is what the females in these bands look like these days. I used to be in the Shaw JH 85 and Dunbar SH Marching bands 89. As far as I can remember we demonstrated skill with the baton, Flags and Pom-Poms. It does not take a lot of skill to pump and hump or drop it like it's hot. It's sad though. To the schools, have the young ladies to show some real skills! Tired of seeing strippers "Hot Mess"!

Chancellor Rhee is not aware of the outfits that these young ladies are wearing because i work for the school board under her, and every picture she has of the the dancers portrays them as well dressed and not with outfits like this. The Coach as well as band diector should be ashamed of theirselves for sending those young ladies outh there like that. It should not look like they are selling theirselves but only selling the dances...

And dunbar may also have the same outfit but Chancellor Rhee doesnt have a picture of them with this outfit on. Since this is the case that dunbar has the same outfit, they should be ashamed for sending these young ladies out there in the bra's and panties. Stick to Traditionals or less exposing Two Pieces. I was in the band in 2004-2004 and ROBIN is an Alumni(2004-2008). So I dont know why she was up front dancing anyway. When I was in the band Alumni Dancers were'nt allowed to come back. So Why is she performing as well as up front. Times sure have changed. If I was captain she would not have danced in front of me, ESPECIALLY WITH HER BEING AN ALUMNI!!!!!!

I am a parent and have talked to the Coach, and he stated the captain went blank and called the wrong 8 count for this song. She made a bad call and its going to happen, lets not put them on DEATHROW...because these girls are very technical and can really dance. See sometimes people only post the mistakes, no one post the songs and feature dance they did after that song, when they recieved a standing ovation. She is a child, we must forgive. thank you

Back in 1989 when Eastern wore there traditional uniforms, you know the one they always weare at parades with the tails, people say that was Raunchy and wasnt right for dancers. this uniform here is normal, Dunbar Ballou has simular versions.

And, all one needs to do is look at their footage against Highland Springs (HSHS) to see them without a few alumni and you would still get a top notch performance with that smack you in the face sound. Ok...let me help clear something up ...this clip was not the feature this was a song played in their list, that the squad did 8 counts to. this song was beautiful...they started out great on the moves until 1:05 and it was lil low on the dippin and heavy on the grinding, but they did outstanding on the feature and is a very technical dancing squad. I can say this because I have been a judge and have been judging Try-outs and competetions since 1991. they are very much on a college level.

Its a downgrade to me If a danceline can't dance to a ballad (I see it all the time). Its not like its a done deal that every dance feature should be fast or uptempo... Its just common. Everyone's so traditional about everything.

And as far as tasteful goes... What would be your definition of tasteful? because clearly society has a differed view of things. What they did was not disgraceful it just wasn't well done.
