I'm pretty sure the word Moshiach comes from Moshia which means annointed one, not savior, since Moshiach has to be annointed before he can be Moshiach. christians made the whole notion of a "savior" up.

@breeeegs : Studying the Apostolic Writings (Xtians call New Testament as per Jeremiah 10), I would believe that "Christ" is a made up name by Greeks; Chris means oil...and as we Jews know, oil was always used for anointing purposes. Greeks call their vegetable oil Crisco. Reading the Apostolic Writings from the Araimic Version, each time we comapre it to other versions, i.e. King James, then the Anointed One is translated as Christ...and Savior is translated as Moshiach. @Hatorah You think he is right about their pagan god and their pagan holidays? He is also right about the paganism of believing in a pagan human sacrifice as well! EVERYTHING about Christianity is paganism, not just the holidays and their god. The very foundational doctrines and beliefs of Judaism and Christianity are complete, total opposites. Christianity does not come from Judaism, it comes from paganism and not one of its doctrines is found in the Torah or Judaism.

I'm Jewish and I agree with you 100 percent that Christianity is paganism and antithetical to the Torah and Hashem. But I can't help wondering, did jesus, who was originally a Jew formulate all these bizarre notions on his own, or did he have help from his followers. I read that there is a part of the Gemara where it says that Yoshke (assuming its the christian one) was born during his mother's menstrual cycle which produces a blemish on the child, so its quite possible he was insane

@theycallmeelfire Blood wasnt what cleansed sins. Prayer was. God says in the Torah if a man cannot afford a bull he can bring a goat. If he cannot afford a goat he can bring a bird. If he cannot afford even a bird, he can bring a WHEAT OFFERING.

In case you didn't notice, wheat is not blood. The animals were brought as sacrfices ike a child would have to give its parent a loved toy in repentance to show how sorry. But it was asking forgiveness of God that brought cleansing just like today.
