in the manga he got beaten up worse though and the drama was done much and much better. This anime would get a 5.6 where the manga would get a 9

how come the subs says Ninin Haori? It's Ninin Baori isn't it. The manga even says so but I guess the sub-ers heard it or saw it that way. Strange sub-ers. I'm not spouting anything bad about them. I'm just pointing out an honest mistake that's all. No harm.
