we were there just around 6 months ago and trust me sights like this are common in cairo we saw a 7.5 tonne truck carrying bags of what we thought were cement and they were stacked higher than a coach and on top were 2 kids laughing and enjoying every minute of the trip and yes its frightening but its a way of life over there.
i drive for a living but i wouldnt recomend driving in cairo its dog eat dog and everyman for himself trust me .
