A. He and Rep. Paul are the only candidates AGAINST subsidies for corn ethonal
B. McCain has hardly spent any money in Iowa, and a third place or up would be a considered a strong showing
C. Despite his very low spending and ethonal position McCain has the endorsement of the Des Moines Register, the state's top paper.
