I find myself wondering after watching this video if traditional hijacking has not gone obsolete on American flights simply because the 9/11 hijackers have created indelible associations between hijacking suicidal terrorism. However, I must remember to clearly consider methods in which a future hijacker may hinder attempts of the passengers to regain control of the hijacked aircraft.

There aren't any symbolic targets in california and the entire west coast has enough ports to make an attack on just one a non-issue. I mean except for the Golden Gate bridge and maybe the Space Needle, there just isn't the target selection that the east coast offers. I do however agree strongly with the fact that our precautions are more like postcautions....we're prepared for what's happened, not what's to come.

This whole enhanced patdown effort ongoing in America is nothing but another measure to frustrate Americans. It serves no other purpose in the big picture. Even body cavity searches in (pick an airport in your country) are useless when someone gets on a plane in (pick another country).
