Only the "vampires" aren't really vampires in twilight. Vampires fry in the sun, not sparkle like a Christmas ornament.

And on top of that the Twilight story is weak and all the characters, especially the main (bella) are empty shells. Dont you find it odd that very little detail is given when describing what she looks like? It's so young girls, and 40something year old women can put themselves in her place and pretend that its her.

Who cares about Twilight? I hate Twilight! It's a poor excuse for a vampire movie! The writing is horrible, I found grammatical errors and spelling mistakes in the 1st 2 books, as that was as far as I would go. It's vampires for teens. Also, Kirsten's character, Bella is as dull as they come! It angers me when Buffy and True Blood are compared to Twilight!

Anna Paquin is a good actress but Katee Sackhoff is a miracle. She has the power of ten good actresses , i can´t forgive the producers that mistake.

But if you don't like horror you shouldn't watch this series. But if you like, maybe you can try it on kino.to. But don't download any player, that's very expensive. Streaming is ok.The big yellow M is the provider who works the best. Though most of the site is in german, True Blood is there in English too. Enjoy

If you want to be technical, True Blood came before Twilight. The books have been out long before the series, and the series premiered a year before Twilight was released in Theaters.

I'm not saying one is better than the other though because I support Vampire's Rights reguardless of the arena, or the title.

Oh and one more thing, Vampire Diaries has been around since the early 90s. I know that because I own the original books that came about before the alterations made for the series.
