Actually you're the reason I started watching Youtube videos properly (in terms of actually subscribing to people and watching their shit). You were the first guy I watched and got me interested in the whole thing, I have like 150+ subscriptions now but you're still my favourite. The 650 is just ugly compared to the zx series. My penis is where I get my extra weight from man.

@NinjaOnANinja I'm 5'9 165 and my '03 ninja 250 at highway speed has more passing power than my '09 328i. A ZX-6R will run a quarter mile in a time similar to a Bugatti Veyron. You don't realize how much power there is until you have experience on bikes.

@13mordeth man, thats a load of crap. I started off with a BMW F800S and now own an Aprilia RSV1000R Factory (you can see both bikes on my channel). Anyone with reasonabely average motor skills should be able to master a kawaER6. The ZX-6R is a different story... but I wouldn't recomend bikes on the basis of displacement alone.

It's all about the purpose. Sooo...get a naked bike or a similar sort of all-rounder 250-800ccm. Avoid fast crotch rockets and clumsy choppers. And OK, no liter bike.

Save up for the zx6 or take a look at some used bikes. Don't waste your money on the 250. Also, don't listen to those other people in the comments. More likely than not, they don't even own a bike themselves. There have been plenty of people who jumped straight to a 600cc after taking the msf course(me included) and haven't wrecked. You can even find people on youtube who's first bike was a 600. Downshift83, Ashfoot, nickgnaime, okihondagirl and on..... All great riders now.

Mordeth is right, unless you're huge (like me), start off with a 250 or 400 or 500. And if you are going to get a 600, get like a Ninja 600EX, not a the 6R. Get something that's more of a sport tourer like a Katana or a Ninja 500 or 600EX. They feel much more solid and don't deliver surges of tq. breaking the wheel loose or popping a wheelie.

Started out on a vtr 1000. very powerful torquie twin. Never had a problem , why? because i rode to my limits and respected the bike i had under me. Provided you're not going to try and ride it like Carl Fogarty , you'll be safe as houses.

I can get a zx6 for 7 ish. The 250 is 4.5. I would rather shoot the extra 2.5 for 4x the bike. I would rather ride like a pussy for a month then ride like a turtle till I can sell it and upgrade. 650 is alright but its almost as much as the zx6r and the zx6 is just better.
