omg i have this same problem but minds sound worst i have not idea how to fix it or what the problem is , i tryed miessing with the audio but that didnt work at all pls somebody help got a party coming up

I don't think that there is anything wrong with your software or hardware.. in my case this problem was cured by checking and changing soundcard settings..

To cure this problem you need to check your onboard soundcard settings section sample rate and bit depth to be used when running in share mode its in audio properties. if set to higher than 16 bit 44100 hz or cd quality it will make your speakers sound sick.. and distorted but everything works when using anything but tracktor. good luck.

Well Im getting Serato instead, there is nothing wrong with Traktor.

I'm not quite sure what happened to you.

My Mixtrack works perfectly and sounds great. Traktor also works perfect.

Traktor is the king of DJ software and it an amazing program.

You just had a bad experience.

Did you ever just mess around with the audio options?

For example: If you play something in winamp the sound is nice (with your computer default audio driver / Directsound) but Traktor uses ASIO driver, and when you play something in it maybe sounds noised if your sound cart is not compatible.

Hi my friend! Hercules MK4 is nice too and it has an advantage above the Mixtrack (except Mixtrack Pro): it comes with two stereo outputs, so you can mix and preview the next track. Anyway, if your problem persisted with your new controller and software, check your computer sound card driver and configurations. Maybe the software is using another audio driver not configurated or incompatible with your sound card.

Right now as u seen on the video, just getting a refund and getting a different brand as the Hercules MK4 with Virtual DJ

Numark Mixtrack doesn't have anything with sound, it's just a controller. Your review title should be just "Traktor LE and my Onboard Sound Card Review(Negative)". So your disappointment's not justified, you got a great product! Buy an audio interface like Numark DJ/IO (or at least an external soundcard) and a good pair of speakers. Then stop using Traktor LE 'cause it's too much limited and get the Pro version or another software with full functions. Be happy.

Yeah I know there could be a million problems

But right now I just want 2 get a different software like Virtual DJ which Im probably getting or Serato Itch.

The only thing thats making me pissed off is the waiting time with the Tech Support and going to ship it back to the Company and getting a full refund

hmm this is interesting, I hope you are able to get your product fixed. there really are a number of things that could be wrong though. the fact that you dont have a soundcard could be one, as a laptop jack is not the best output. your audio setup could be incorrect. I would have liked to hear the same song on both traktor and itunes...perhaps its just the mp3 thats bad. Im using Traktor Pro. at first I hated LE, though I didnt have any sound problems, and then I liked it so much I got Pro.

@Pearlsrxk in other words, I really dont believe that its Traktors fault, but who knows, perhaps yours is not working properly, barring any unforeseen issues that can actually be fixed.

lowered the gain, Still having the horrible sound quality coming out from the speakers.

try reducing the gain, your gain is set too high thats why there is distortion

my laptop has 4GB RAM which is awesome

okay, i did check the specs like the audio setup, but there is like u can't change the settings.

Is there possibility u can send me a video tutorial about this method you are talking about?

Because Im not an expert on computers lol

check the specs on ur computer...i would only get that same proble with my Acer cause of not enough RAM and also i see ur running I tunes ...try ur msconfig command and disable what ever programs ur not using ...i guarantee it will work ...Remenber dont run other programs.....i just bought new computer with 4gb of ram ..better processor and works fine

I don't have a sound card, im just getting a different mixer with a Sound Card built in.

you are wrong. something was wrong with yours. plus if you dont have the pro version you need a sound card.
