Well, that commercial ended up being totally correct! The very low price contributed to putting a computer into peoples' homes "years before" its competitors. Many, many people bought these over the inferior yet more expensive other 8-bit computers. It virtually gave birth to the home computer industry, proliferating computers to the public like never before!
Getting more and better product for LESS money--what an ingenious idea, eh! No wonder it remains the best-selling computer EVER!
