practically, there are replacement software for anything and everything in linux, for the software u use on windows.

on ubuntu, it's easier to find and install. i use debian. still pretty good, not as user friendly as ubuntu, though.

all u need to do is search and get used to the new software, just like you'd get used to any new windows software.

If I understand your question correctly, no, this computer does not offer nor requires some sort of alternative connection to the internet, it would use whatever connection you already use for any other computer.

Also, no, it doesn't come with a monitor, however for $200, you shouldn't really expect one. Dell adds a minimum of $140 to its PC prices for a monitor, so you're talking about an accessory worth more than half the cost of this computer.
