A little request if you don't mind - Can you run a combo of Digitech Death Metal/Boss Metal Core with Boss CE-3/Digitech Multi Chorus and a (Boss or Digitech)Digital Delay/Reverb pedal?
Love your video's Tone King, It's refreshing to hear someone who knows what they are talking about....... Right on.... Keep em coming brother.....*****
Hi TK, what's your opinion on the Digitech Tone Driver? Would you use it as a boost or as a standalone crunch on a clean channel? Does it emulate the Dod, TS9 and TS808 well? I have one of these bad boys, I have yet to tap into their true potential.
Do a danelectro FAB series pedal review of a few of their pedals like the Chorus, Metal, and whatever else. Wild how the MM's model of the MT-2 sounds better then the MT-2 lol.
ok how can u be able to pluck all the string and static and feedback wont fuck it up and sound like shit yes i know ur on a gibson but what can i do to make my guitars sound clean not like shit
I really like your demos. I think you do an outstanding job, clear and articulate in plain language and skilled at doing the very best you can within the limitations of computer videos.
It's very handy for recording. One thing he didn't mention was that there are two outputs. (He only had so much time, after all). The regular "to amp" output, and a cabinet modeling output made to plug directly into the mixing board. Anybody who gets one should definitelt spring for the AC power supply. The thing goes through 9-volt batteries like I go through Moutain Dew!
Could it be that "Blues Solo" on the Tone Driver is modelled after the Boss BD-2 Blues Driver ?
On a side note some settings sound better than others. The fuzz settings sounds horrendous and the Metal zone or TS actually ok. I owned the Reverb version of this serie and it was OK. You're right these stompboxes are usually a good deal even though you buy it only for one or two sounds out of 5 on each one that you like.
I just got the Digitech Tone Driver for thirty bucks. It has an excellent sound and is extremely versatile. In my opinion it is one of the best ways to spend 30 bucks I have come across in a long time.
If you're into "way out there sounds" check out the DigiTech Synth Wah. Its the one pedal that is constantly on my pedalboard. It does really cool stuff.
Mark - I absolutely do. They are great if that is the only pedal you are using. Once you throw a pedal like that in the mix w/ other pedals - you loose that bit of organic-ness, that analogue pedals know how to cope with. GREAT QUESTION. I think I was shooting to address that in my video, by pointing out that they are digital pedals - but it didn't really come out. Thank you for asking!
DigiTech is already offering a free pedal when you buy any two from now until January 15 through rebate. I'd recommend waiting for the upcoming sales to take advantage of this deal.
TTK: do you give guitar lessons? Ur blues playing is awesome.

do you feel as though digital pedals take away from any natural tone from the guitar? or even take over charachteristics of the amps natural sound?

I was talking about the amps. No, they don't make pedals.
