Typical English batsman, Over emphasis on the straight drive and technique, his entire batting stance is only set to play the straight drive, nothing wrong with that, but with that kind of artificial rigid front elbow set-up you loose out on the horizontal shots or most other shots, he is too rigid and trying to be too correct, nothing wrong with that, just another style of playing, but those cut shots are hopeless,
@thenewirs927 His set-up is too basic, too technically oriented to play the straight drive, that stance is good for 5yr olds, which is why he cannot cut the ball and he will struggle with most shots other than the straight drive, which is why he cannot go back and accross easily even if he wants too, set up is almost pre-meditated to play straight drive,
Like someone else has mentioned there is a lack of footwork. When you play the cut shot, your back foot should go back and across. Plus side very good front elbow and good head position.

Just a little advice...in your backlift you bat face should be slightly open not straight or close-faced.

when you are doing your square cuts , your front leg is moving which is wrong. Your back leg is supposed to be moving.

Yeah I agree and that will also help you to lean into your shot

don't pick ur foot up while playing the cut shot because it obstructs ur balance and u dont have much control on the shot. but overall good batting
