  • If you learn kids songs like "Chiisai Aki mitsuketa(ちいさい秋みつけた)" and "Sato no Aki(里の秋)" , which can perfectly match this video, you can be a real Nihon Tsuu(日本つう). You can find clips these songs on YouTube. Just copy, paste and search them.

  • Again very nice Kurt, thanks for sharing the elements of a Japanese countryside Autumn. Hope all is well & keep up the good work

I saw Satoimo leaves. softy papa saw the roots part of the plant being sold at the farmers produce stand a few videos back.

If it's not raining, the fall is the most popular season for the hiking. There are many tree leaves that change to bright colors of red and yellow.

  • The dried up rice fields and persimmon trees have been typical autumn scenaries for hundreds of years in Japan and probably one of few original things you can still enjoy like people did long time ago. Good to live in country side.

Seeing them somehow reminds me of good old day and makes me feel nostalgic.

  • Thanks for sharing....wish I had a cutting from one of those trees you showed in the begining so I could bonsai it.

  • Hi Kurt. I hope you get to show how some of the Japanese Bind thier Garden Decorative Pines for the Winter. That would be Very interesting to me. You know I'm working on this Zen garden in my back yard. I'll show it to you some day :). No Pines in it YET anyway but way cool how they trim them and prep the areas for snow :-)

  • At first I thought the trees were bittersweet! I never knew bamboo changed color, suppose I never thought of it before. Thanks for sharing, it's so pretty!
