  • @DaPingas Those were for "no-clip"/built in clip rifles :o

  • That is new way to reload

  • Maybe not most importantly... but certainly significant to mention is that you can 'top off' you cylinder with these if you've only fired two or three shots. Can't do that with a speedloader.

  • @jrmyscttwds

great point, didn't think of that

  • @jrmyscttwds Right but why would you? Just fire all six and dump them out. Topping off the cyl is a pain in the balls because you have to take out those 2 empty shells, so you can't just push them all out like you would if you fired all 6. If you really wanted to "top off your cylinder" then you could just do it manually just as fast.

  • @jrmyscttwds That is a good point, but is there a reliable way to eject just the spent cartridges from a revolver? The ejector rod will dump all of them.

  • @jrmyscttwds You know, sitting in a gunfight counting your empties and pulling them without removing the loaded rounds accidentally is a little bit impractical. You'll probably punch all the rounds and shove them into a pocket.

  • @John234pwns First, not everything is a gun fight. Secondly, if you're reloading a revolver after a defensive shooting without firing all of your shots, then you're probably not in immediate danger. Lastly, a revolver plus a reload is usually between 10-12 rounds total on your person. if I fire less than 5 shots, I'd rather keep the remaining live rounds versus dumping them and lowering my total rounds available.

  • @jrmyscttwds Well, you're hardly in a rush to reload on the range, so I can't see how a speed strip is primarily applied to that, rather than defensive use. You have a point about reloading during a lull, but generally speaking, you should try to take the least time possible to do so. So it seems a bit silly to pick out the live empties - I would personally throw all the rounds, casing and live rounds into a pocket.

  • perfect for CC.....

  • looks pretty awkward to use

  • I used to carry these back in the early 80's before our dept allowed semi-auto's. Before stepping up to speed loaders I used these strip clips (made by Bianchi at the time). Why I just didn't use speed loaders from the beginning I'll never know, but the qualifying time limits decreased and we had to shave some time somewhere. Reload times were the first place anybody would start with, so I changed over to speed loaders and had time to spare. Duuhhhh . . .

  • @greenrefrigerator That comment should have had had a guitar playin in the background and read by Charlton Heston

  • @DaPingas

    not these

  • @GunWebsites yea yours has a unique loading design and you do not "strip" the rounds off. you peel them with yours. so its not a stripper clip.

  • @jcodym13

    nope not at all

  • Would rather use a speed loader like somebody suggested, but it's not a bad idea.

  • Nice and flat for pocket carry /summer or

    Dress up .

    Harry

    Reno

  • Very good, I like it!

  • speed loader pouch.......... speed loader.... just buy more magazines and load them with your hands when you have the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • might as well use a 7.62x39 ak47-sks stripper clip, they can hold 8 rounds of 38 spl

  • @ARTONY92

sure if the point was to store them, but these are for quick reloading

  • i like that ths speed strips are flat as supposed to the speed loaders

  • Rather use a speed loader...

    All six at once...

    *****

    How much for those strips?

  • 3 for $10 I think

  • @stealthyshooter 38's are stronger than 9mm's right?

  • @xxxCRAZYLOVExxx by alot

  • @stealthyshooter moon clips are even better.

  • @stealthyshooter not if u carry a j frame all day in a pocket... there to bulky.. the strips lay flat and can be loaded almost as quick as a speed loader if u practice... bought the speed loader for my mom to carry with her 642 cause she carrys in her purse.. me on the other hand carry the 442 with CT LG 405s front pocket or my glock 27 in the crossbreed dependin on the weather....

  • @0406csmith and i got mine for $11.37 on amazon.com set of 2..

  • @ elvemage00

    OK well ..

  • Can the strip be reloaded or use one time only?

  • good question, they can be used over and over many times

    (We've never worn any out)

  • they should makeit in circles, the shape of your revolver cylinder

  • I wonder if they ever tried it that way..

The flat is to fit in a pocket without a bulge

  • they do....but snub noses are for concealed carry & the strip is easier to carry

  • They already have those they are called moon clips. Not all pistols like them though.

  • they make those.

  • Bianchi Speed Strips for .38/.357 are the same basic thing and have been around for several decades; I have 10 Bianchi Strips (6 opened and used for CCW/practice and 4 still in the package as replacements; I am considering getting Tuff strips that hold .44 spl/.44 mag/ .45 colt to supplement my speedloaders

  • yup, if you listen to the interview with Natt Stevens of Tuff Products on the 6/7/09 America Armed & Free you'll hear that Natt used to work at Bianchi and developed these for all the other calibers besides .38 because Bianchi wasn't interested in doing it

  • Cool

  • Thanks, we think so too
