  • That is a squat, not a dead lift. dead lift works glutes and lower back. squats work quads. (I am an athletic training/exercise science student).

  • I guess it also dependsif you use your thigs muscles or your back. This is, I guess depending, on the position of shoulders, arms, brest. THis is no typical dead lift, but it is made maybe more for muscles to be in use.

  • Great videos but how do I get my abs to look great, this is the area that doesn't seem to respond as well to exercise as the rest of me.

  • only way to get abs is diet. cut out the bad fats , refined carbs, and salts. and eat smaller portions with more vegetables and lean proteins.

  • Hi Sarah. I've been working out over a year now, changing rutines and controlling my sugar n food ingestion, still no matter what I do I can't get arms, back n abs really toned n I can't lose weight or measures. Any advice? I'm a bit frustrated :(

  • True I can squat much more but for bicep curls I use 10-12 lbs and do 20 reps (3 sets of course) which is why we used the lighter weight. I could probably do 15 lbs actually for this.

  • Thanks! It's because I got a trainer lol and I've been building muscle.

    Ever since we did the video with him when I got my measurements we've been working together and we're excited to do a follow up! He's in the ones that are called "The Secret Behind Fast Fat Loss" and "Strength Training at it's Best"

  • Heh, that's something, I stopped strength training during the summer and focused on split muscle group workouts, and I don't think it was better. The strength training, in my opinion, was way better.

    Congrats though, you were hot before, but certainly getting hotter with all your hard work ;)

  • I haven't - I'm one of those people who is anti things that look gimicky. I had a phone call with them once for over an hour and I left thinking the whole thing was a Ponzi Scheme to be honest.

  • its not gimicky at all. Its basically everything that you post on your videos, but in a specific sequence. Its really really basic stuff. I could send you a DVD or two to review it.

    i have to say, thank you diethealth for these short exercise vids, i keep adding the ones i like to my rutine, and it really helps to spice things up, i get bored reall easy! and this is very helpfull! keep it up!
