  • I wish Virgil could get 1,000 within Kansas City.

  • Hello everyone.

I'm here to talk about the existence of a brand new musical experience called Idaea. The influence ranges from Planet X, Meshuggah, Dream Theater, Chick Corea to Contemporany and Experimental music. It would be really cool if you visited our myspace and added coments, thoughts and opinions!:

Thanks for the time! Stay tuned for more!

  • all great concerts take place in Anthens

  • @LOLOKAKASOSO in Athens too, sometimes !

  • was there the day after.

  • it's a great honour gor me to be in the same vid with virgil donati! What an amazing experience that live was!

  • Oh my god that's an awesome concert daaaaaah, can't believe what I see ^___^

The one that is playing bass seems like jhon petrucci(? lol

  • I don't know how the bass and guitar can keep that ostinato going perfectly with virgil going crazy with odd times over top. I would get so fucked if I did it. The Quantum version of this is nuts. I learned the weird shifts in time, but it's one thing to learn it, and something out of this world if he can improvise those changes on the spot, while keeping a perfect ostinato. Now THAT'S some true indepence!

  • @barcanard VIRGIL HAS THE DOUBLE KICK GOING TOO!

  • where´s tony????

  • fear not fellow planet xies tony rejoined the band and will be on their upcoming fourth album , due out this year i think

  • who is playing guitar and bass here????this is not Kevin at the bass and this is not Macalpine on guitar!

  • Guitar: Alex Machacek, Bass: Rufus Philpot. If you'd like to know more about them you can make a search in Wikipedia.

  • i hate how they watch him while hes playing im talking about the guitarist their just waiting for him to screw up

  • its all good. I love this Band!

  • dude, you cut it off at the cool part...

  • Sorry about that but I could n focus on the show

and really didn't want to miss it for anything. This sort video and another one that I've upload in you tube from that night was captured only to remind me this awesome show! and of course sharing it with people like you.

  • insane

  • aguante!!!

  • i remember a buddy of mine poppng this cd in his car, with this track , we totally had no idea what was going on , and we liked that

  • Definitely the best , after MoonBabies I didn't see how they could get any better. But somehow they gave us Quantum, another masterpiece.

  • Erkan - I can say from experience.. smaller spots are ALOT more fun to play at then big arenas.

I think they are happy playing like this :P

  • yeah, but I read a sad message from Derek on hes website. They dont earn much moeny from Planen X, plus its not even sure that a new album will be released. "Quantum" was only released becouse Virgil was in some "super-creative" period, and had to release the material. Derek was bizzy with other stuff. The members in Planet X actually "LOOSE money. The money they put in Planet X does not reward it self, and the only thing that makes them keep running the show os becouse they are all ready rich!

  • Planet X deserve to play at bigger places...not small bars like this. Hope I will ever see them someday here in Sweden!!!

Best, most evolutionary, most talented, most skilled instrumantal band EVER!!!! But offcourse they do comes from another Planet. Sad that more musicians doesn´t travel to Earth and learn us some stuff. lol

  • mother of all bands..

  • Fucking incredible. What a band.
