I know this is an old video but Im still confused on how to upload a RAW file into PS3. I downloaded updates from Canon & now it lets me view my RAW files but I still cant open them in PS CS3. Thanks!

I downloaded the camera_raw_3_7 because it says there that the latest one is not compatible with versions earlier than CS4 but still I can't open raw CR2 files... I know you're trying to help.. I'm just not knowledgeable enough... Thank you anyway...

I can't open my raw image as well. it has file extension of CR2 and I read here that I need to install the RAW updates.. How do I do that? Please Help!

Hi, I added the link of the RAW Updates to the video details on the right. Download the one for your OS and install.

Go to Help/Updates and the software connects to Adobe and starts updating.

It works with cr*cked software aswell ;)

What is the files extension i.e CR2, JPG, NEF etc?

Have you tried updating your photoshop?

The pic extension is .RAW and I don't know how to open it in the photoshop as you did .

You have to go to adobe / products / photoshop / cameraraw. html

And install the patches.

That should solve your problem, Photoshop in itself cannot read the CR2 files so you need to install the RAW updates.

The JPEG image produced by a camera is an image processed by the cameras software in which variables such as sharpness, contrast, saturation and white balance are applied to the digital image based on the cameras settings. RAW on the other hand is the direct unprocessed image as seen by the cameras sensor.

its another format unlike jpeg it is what comes strait from the camera like negatives from a film if u know what i mean

I wish he had told us more about the actual opening of the raw file, which is what I was expecting. Opening from Recent Files is kind of skipping a beat there, but the tutorial is good. I learned a couple of new things. Thank you.
