UGH, "I DON'T LIKE ANY VEGETABLES". Whoever said that, their diet must be fucking AWFUL. So that person has tried every single vegetable on earth? What a joke, I really dislike adults who say "i don't eat it cuz i don't like it" GUESS WHAT, nobody gives a shit if you don't "like it" or not, just be a responsible adult and eat the fucking food, enjoy being healthy!! If you make it to adulthood without eating vegetables, it's a fucking miracle. Immune system would be completely unprepared for life
Jamie keep up the good work with Food Revolution...You have influenced many people here in Greece!!!!!!Thank you!!!!!!!We 're waiting for you again!!!:D
I'm from Hawaii and our department of education is planning to serve our kids "made from scratch" lunch meals. I do think Jamie Oliver and the Food Revolution crew had a lot to do with it. Much thanks and Aloha Jamie! Join the REVOLUTION!
Because of people like you things change. I would like to let everyone know they can follow Jamie's leed and make a positive change. I don't have money so I donate time. I teach classes at the library as well as tutor k-12 and volunteer at festivals all year long,(Seattle Film Festival, Bumbershoot, Sea Fair). It's not as much as what Jamies doing but if more people would get involved with their community they will have a happier and richer life for it.
Hi jamie i live in australia but i want to say i support every single thing you do you have helped this world 70% of the way and still going strong. i love cooking its my passion and i just started making my cook book tonight adding photos and recipes and so on and hoping one day in the near future it will be published but its dedacated to you. happy birthday much love daniel
Happy belated BD! Love your videos on inexpensive, healthy food. Thanks so much for the tips on making your own salad dressing. It's much simpler then the food companies make it out to be.
"Probably won't go to University?" Way to express your low expectations of your kids in the middle of discussing how much you value their potential...
@SSJkiller Just because they might not go to university, doesn't mean that he has lower expectations of them - there are lots of professions that don't need you to go to university. Jamie never went, and look at him now.
Hey Jamie thanks for all your efforts and it's always exciting to watch you cook. University is not for everyone and if your major isn't science or medical why bother. If Jamie's daughter doesn't go for the higher learning route I truly don't think that Daddy has anything to worry about. Highly motivated family's almost always produce motivated children in what ever they do. LAUSD can never make a decision on anything and that's why it's so hard to help to introduce or help them.
what you're doing is awesome. i'm fortunate that my son loves fruit and veggies, but so many parents won't even expose their kids to them. they just assume they won't like them. my son hates mushrooms but his favorite thing is raw broccoli without dip! how cool is that?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMIE!!!!!! Thank you for doing what you do, we need it! Do you have any basic techniques for cooking tough leafy greens like brocoli rub, swish card, kale things like that?
hi jamie keep up the good work trying to teach people gosh there is such a lot of people who dont know but hey if they do you do know already it is an inspiration to continue and know they are living a healthy life. It makes us all feel HAPPY when we eat the right stuff and not so many deseases. Tina from England UK
hi jamie keep up the good work trying to teach people gosh there is such a lot of people who dont know but hey if they do you do know already it is an inspiration to continue and know they are living a healthy life. i've put a little milk in the egg mixture as well as beating them to aerate and make lighter... one thing i notice is although jamie was being careful, i thought it's never a good idea to use a metal utensil in a non-stick pan... even if it's just a fork as it can scratch the finish and ruin the pan
i know this is an american thing you have got going on here jamie...but im from the UK and id love to see a variety of rice dishes for a poor student. what is your secret to the perfect risotto or do you have any tips for getting perfectly cooked rice...not to gooey and not under done?
oxtails used to be very inexpensive but in my store today it costs as much as a good filet or ribeye steak ... but it still makes the best stew or soup its delicious!
I'd say it's pretty much cheaper for one person too because you can cook a 3 person meal (or whatever) and put it in the fridge or freezer. Making your own ready cooked meals and chuck 'em in the freezer are a whole lot cheaper, tastier and healthier than buying them. It's also more convenient than fast food, if you don't feel like cooking you can just heat some left overs, you don't have to call and wait for a pizza or go to the drive through or whatever you do.
Happy birthday! And keep up the good work. My family and I have followed you to America, so we're really looking forward to joining the movement (in a veggie kinda way)
Jamie, my family thinks you are awesome! Come to our house and see our garden and come let us cook for you! Thanks for all you do. Step by step we can get rid of the crap and get people eating great, fresh food and help them understand what eating well means. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Noreen
I have never heard of anyone who doesnt like ANY kind of veg.Im thinking they tried one or several kinds which werent appealing, or perhaps not served so it tasted or looked good... And this person perhaps decided ALL vegs are not good. There are A MILLION kinds out there, and im sure this person is bound to find something they like. Experiment!! :) I for example never liked mushrooms as a kid,or raisins.. BUt i later tried mushrooms in spaghetti or pizza, and raisins in cereal.. i love it! ;)
He obviously doesnt know what organic meat is about :( Of course some animals live longer.. but its also about their living conditions (space they live in, food they eat, how they are cared for, etc..)
@chabella123 He was talking from a economical stand point though and the biggest reason to why it's more expensive than regular meat is because they live longer and therefore require more food and all of what you mentioned.
Jamie e a sua luta para reestabelecer o excelente hábito das famílias cozinharem e se alimentarem em casa. Eu o admiro por isso, além do incomensurável talento.
Best Birthday wishes Jamie :) Love the videos,, Yay !! to fresh cooking, with a large family it is really cost effective to cook at home. Proud Mom of 6 .Thanks for all you are doing.
