We just heard the most BIAS announcers in the NHL in quite some time. Myers did a great clean hit, never touched the head once the announcers love it when lucic does this hit but cry murder when he lucic gets it. In fact the only dirty play was the sucker punch by lucic and of course they don't even mention that. The announcers should go blow lucic if he loves him that much.

Have you not noticed a trend over the years that more stuff becomes illegal? Fighting will speed up the process of making more kinds of (now clean) hits illegal. Second, Lucic is tough, but within certain boundaries. For instance, he refused Laraque repeatedly. Lucic knows his limits more than the Boston fans do. Third, many teams fight after clean hits now. They're not illegal but hits to the head are egregious. The B's were up by three goals and that Meyer hit to Lucic was obvious bait to cause something more. The B's responded with some great stuff (Savard even got into the mix) and they won. This is definitely one step forward for the Bruins. Good stuff.

@NHLArchive I just want to let you know I agree with you 100% The hit was perfectly legal. I'm a Flyers fan and I'm the first person to say Richards hit on Booth last year was extreme. This hit was perfect. The brawl that followed should never have happened. Since when do we instigate fights with guys because they play the game?
