I sincerely doubt he got punished after this flight. When you make your last flight in the military this is basically standard practice. The whole squadron will come out to see your last low passes. Then, after landing, you are greeted by the fire brigade and the sqn cdr with some beer. Usually there is a nice big party after that and that is it. That was yr last flight in a military jet, most are then off to the airlines (in those days). So this is all planned and allowed, nothing special.

The Video was made in the late 1980's at the German Air Force Base Wittmund, where the Jagdgeschwader (Fighter Wing) 71 "Richthofen" is located. The pilot was the former Fighter Wing Commodore, Colonel Klaus "Mufti" Eggert. He lost his license after this flight, but that doesn't made the matter to him. He heard that he'll retiere a few days before this flight, so he knew that this would be the last. That's why he wanted to show his skills on his last flight as a farewell to his comrades.
