wonder what will heather say about the upcoming Poltergeist remake, being in production.defently poltergeist will not be without her, of they did parody poltergeist on Family Guy, with Stewie as Heather O'Rourke's character, i think Bailee Madison will be a good fit, cause don't know why, but she kind of looks alittle bit like Bailee Madison(Just Go With It/Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark. really loved Heather in poltergeist, wish she was around today, would love to friend her on facebook,
It happened because her mother wasted valuable time in getting her immediately into ER. According to her mother, when Heather awoke her parents in the night with trouble breating and blue fingernails, rather than bundle her up and take her to ER, what she did was get on the phone trying to reach the family doctor, and instead of bundling her daughter up she tells her "Get your clothes on!" making her spend what energy she had left in her tiny, ill body trying to dress herself!

How did she get the blocked intestine? They could did surgery on her a lot earlier, then she would be on this earth! It feels like that she never existed, but she did. RIP Heather!
in 1983 Heather fell ill with flu like symptoms. When her parents took her to the Dr, they misdiagnosed & treated her for Chrons Disease. (The meds they gave her made her cheeks puffy & can be noted in some scenes in Poltergeist 3) She later ended up dying of septic shock when her blocked intestines ruptured. They rushed her in for emergency surgery when she fell ill a 2nd time, but, it was too late. Had she been diagnosed correctly the 1st time, she could have been cured w/ a simple operation.
@Wendy313 Prednizone, commonly given for acute inflammation (they treat Crohn's, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. with it.) It has dangerous side effects, and prolonged use causes the face to swell. John F. Kennedy took it for a serious back trouble he had from a WWII injury; you see his face swollen starting in photos from around 1959.
My dad took it for 20 years for persistant RA; it eventually killed him.
