Yeah, I've heard Ron Paul's long list of ideas. I've just never heard how he intended to implement any of them, practically speaking, especially since most of his own party wouldn't support them. The presidency isn't a dictatorship. Congress does have a say. For example, Obama promised to shut down Guantanamo Bay and he tried, but the republicans fought against it.

If he wins Iowa, which all signs are currently pointing to, it will be a 1v1 race between Romney and Paul for the GOP nomination. All Repubs will vote for him (after all, anyone but Obama, right?). And you're right - I have many Dem and Ind friends and acquaintances who have long since torn off their "Hope and Change" bumper stickers and have been taking long hard looks at Dr. Paul as well. Based on this simple logic, Ron Paul is the MOST electable, not least.
