I don't get it dude, I've seen drummers do this all time but I've never had to do it myself (maybe I just ain't a legit drummer), but at 2:04 he starts turning the hi-hats. Can anyone tell me why?

maybe to tighten the screw that grip the felt. sometimes i'll spin it if it gets a little too loose and i start to lose reactivity in it.

@alibabaolfat because if you are playing the hi hats with your foot, sometimes the hi hats can be in a kind of "dead spot", where the tilt of the hi hats causes you to lose the nice chick sound, and instead get that annoying air pocket sound. spinning the hi hats will change the positioning, to get rid of that.
