  • What Rand Paul was explaining is that when you tax a certain group of people it affects everyone as a whole not just that group. Rand Paul is smarter than you.

  • I love Rand Paul!

  • Without even watching this video, I look at the title and think "Gee, doesn't that sound like a certain economic system that certain countries have practiced at some point in their history? You know, the one that makes the political right cringe just by mentioning it?"

  • He didn't actually mean there was no poor people. Wow, talk about taking things out of context. He means that we all are an important part of this economy and taxing anyone would be a major problem.

  • Rand Paul is way off base. Rich people are not our rulers! They should not be our rulers! Rand wants Right To Work Laws passed in this country to further drive down Unions. This is unfair, Reisit Rand Paul.

  • The Mentality of a Liberal is so disturbing. We love the Poor until they become successful and are able to employee others then we hate them. The Liberal only loves poor people if they remain that way. They think men deserve pity and not prosperity. They think success and hard work should be rewarded by giving your earnings to others. They do have exceptions though if your rich and vote democrat then you're ok eg. Ted Turner, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffet, etc

  • @JesusNonEnviromental

    Whatever ya nut.

  • So.......we all get tax breaks then?

  • He has proven his stupidity once againe. There are no rich and poor, but the rich still buy the yachts so the poor can have a work. This man can't utter two sentences without contradicting himself. What a joke! Ironically if he really thought there were no roch and poor people he would be interested in making sure everyone pay the same amount of taxes (proportionally), but of course he would never support that. He knows fully well there are poor and rich people. He's rich, he hates the poor.

  • libertaranism is not conservatism. true conservatism is what they have i n harper's canada, what winston churchill would have liked.

  • @gollum740 And we are going to pay big time for it. We let the stupidest people in the country take control.

  • i hate the government. there is no class system wtf. everyday i hate rand paul more and more.

  • i think rand paul means that if the rich people arent paying for the middle and lower class peoples services then the middle and lower class people aren't going to make as much money, fair enough point, however, these rich people have more disposable income so a higher tax isn't going to be as difficult for them as it would be for someone with less DI.

  • So the average CEO of a big company gets paid $10-15 million a year (including bonuses and additional payment) and the average worker gets paid $40,000 a year. Maybe we do have a rich and poor after all.

  • TYT retards

  • is Rand paul willing to enforce the idea of not having rich or poor?

  • Uh, first you (TYT) criticize Fox News for taking things out of context, then you do exactly the same thing yourself.

  • wow these people are ignorant

  • FACT IS ALL DEMOCRATS WHO WANT MORE SPENDING, MORE UNEMPLOYMENT, MORE DREAM ACT CRAP CAN GO TO HADES. WE WANT TAX CUTS, SPENDING CUTS, A FENCED IN BORDER ENTIRELY WITH BACKUPS, AND SAFE SOUND MIDDLE CLASS FAMILIES WHO CAN ENJOY THEIR LIBERTIES. YOU PEOPLE ARE PATHETIC WHO TRASH PAUL AND THE TEA PARTY. YOU ARE PATHETIC AND I MEAN IT.

  • @Marksnotebook I DON"T LIKE JIMMY CARTER EITHER. Every president has been a tool of the war industry, most especially that braindead faggot reagan. You have totally sidestepped the question. Carter Ford Nixon and whoever else aside, BEFORE reagan/bush/clintonbama USA was #1 in producing and exporting finished goods. Since the insane lowering of the corporate tax rate and various other "free trade" deals for big business, almost all manufacturing jobs are gone, and they're not coming back.

  • @sulfurousstench The high taxes and Nanny state of more government regulations, more EPA rules, high paid attorneys whom the dems LOVE to get behind their belts along with big union bosses who nearly bankrupted businesses, all contributed to the loss of jobs as the businesses of yesterday got tired and left well before Reagan. FDR and then Johnson were the ones along with huge democratic majorities that got higher SS tax witholding and medicare so businesses were thus, leaving.

  • @DanielDamascusKimery

It depends what they do, our states road authority used to build all our roads to spec for a third less before we laid them off for the half-assed services of private contractors. Most of the state trained and employed draftsmen were scouted and hired by firms that won tender, then increased costs was passed on to tax payers.

You could argue subsidized agriculture, aeronautics and defense(tech) are govt.employed, you know things your economy currently rests on.

  • and the poor red chinese workers who lost their jobs, most yachts are made in china.

  • @MrTabby5000 BTW......The GOP just won 63 US congressional seats....7 and maybe 8 US senate seats....about 10 governor seats so we have 29 governors now and we can gerrymander big time....and the biggy which is shocking.......the GOP picked up 682 state house legislature seats and up to 29 Governors are going to revolt, try to repeal and stop Obamacare. I love it. Its going to be a long hard road but we the people will prevail in 2012! :)

  • @Marksnotebook If you think the 'GOP' represents "we the people" and "Obamacare" is a commie plot to take away your freedoms, there's not much hope for you. Before yer beloved Raygun got in office in 1980, our country was the #1 Importer of raw materials and #1 Exporter of finished goods. Today is is the opposite. Bush, Clinton, Bush & now Obama have all followed that policy of deregulation and eventually they will have made us into a "3rd world" country. Both parties want to do us all in

  • @sulfurousstench BEFORE REAGAN WE HAD 20 PERCENT INTEREST RATES AND NOBODY COULD AFFORD TO CARRY A LOAN ON THAT AMOUNT....AFTER REAGAN IT WAS 10 PERCENT INTEREST...BEFORE REAGAN UNEMPLOYMENT WAS 8.5 PERCENT AND AFTER REAGAN IT WAS 4.50 PERCENT.....BEFORE REAGAN WE HAD THE TERRIBLE HORROR OF THE SOVIET UNION WITH ALL ITS MISSLES POINTED AT US, AND AFTER REAGAN WE HAD A COLLAPSE OF THE SOVIET UNION....AND REAGAN FIRED THE UNIONS WHO GOT OUT OF HAND. YEAH REAGAN DID WELL MAN...VERY WELL./PITY/UR

  • @Marksnotebook The missiles are still there.. just waiting for a good opportunity. Sarah Palin knows how to solve the external threats.

  • @WarmongerWW3 Yes the missles are there and only a handful of people who are now in government will know how to handle the situation. Certainly Obama knows nothing about what to do as he is too busy destroying our fundamental ways of life in the United States. I didn't think anyone could top Carter on being the worst President but I was wrong...Barry Satoro Obama is worse than all combined! Any human who honestly believes that a country should "spend their way out of debt is a damn fool.

  • @sulfurousstench COULD NOT QUITE SQUEEZE IT ALL IN.........AT THE END OF REAGAN'S SECOND TERM HE LEFT OFFICE WITH A 65 PERCENT APPROVAL, HIGHER THAN ANY PRESIDENT SINCE 50 YEARS PRIOR TO HIM. AND HE CREATED 22 MILLION NEW JOBS. SO MUCH FOR YOUR BULLSHIT. AND THAT'S JUST WHAT IT IS.

  • @sulfurousstench DID YOU LOVE JIMMY CARTER?

  • @sulfurousstench Again with Jimmy Carter we never knew if we would have a gas line or not and we paid 20 percent on interest which killed this country. Carter and his Malaise speech he gave was repulsive. He lost because he failed with the Iranian hostages and Operation Eagle Claw, the blundering idiot, then the Iranians threw mud in Carter's face by waiting until Reagan came to power as President as they feared Reagan. The downfall of our economy was due to 40 years of democratic control.

  • @sulfurousstench Both parties are one in the same. But what made this country emerge as the superpower it is? Free market capitalism, not Keynesianism. Government subsidizes and bails out corporations, keeping them alive, making it difficult for small business to prosper. Not to mention it is so difficult for the average Joe to start a business with all the regulations its almost impossible. Government works in favor of large corporations, and against small business, destroying the economy.

  • @415Dub bullshit the free market has never existed

  • @ymkamara420 Okay 420 man, light one up for me during this conversation. Are you going to argue that the US economy wasn't entirely free-er from 1776 to the early 20th century? The US economy is now socialist with a hint of free markets, it used to be the other way around and thats when the US emerged as the worlds #1 superpower. The free-er the markets, the more prosperity, the more government intervention in the markets, the less prosperity, which is what we are seeing today.

  • @415Dub bull shit. the deregulation of the banks led to this economic mess that we are in. deregulation is part of the free market people what so bad. I don't agree with the bail out. but taking away the rules is not going to help any one but the top one percent

  • @ymkamara420 lol Its not the deregulation or too little government that got us into this mess, it was too much government. We haven't had free markets in a long time and you know that. The government guaranteed housing loans for everyone, and inflated the shit out of the housing market, and it was obviously unsustainable from the beginning and the housing market crashed. That along with the war spending and inflation of our currency causing higher costs of living is what caused this mess.

  • @415Dub dude you have to chill with the fox news. u have to be really ignorant to believe that deregulation did not cause this economy to crash. The government did not guaranteed loans for everyone. They said could not discriminate based on racial or social economical status. The banks were the one that gave out these horrible loans with exploding interest rates. The banks actually made billions of dollars this way. thats why we have to regulate them again. and the wars was all bush so.

  • @ymkamara420 I dont watch Fox news lol. Im anti-war, pro-civil liberties, and for less government. The federal reserve bank kept interest rates for housing loans artificially low, allowing excessive risky loans that people couldnt realistically pay back. The whole irony of it was they were trying to make housing more affordable for everyone, and they artificially jacked up the price for housing. This was a bubble that was bound to crash. That and the inflation of our currency is NOT free markets

  • Tell a conservative a lie and he gets angry. Tell a liberal the truth and he gets angry.

  • @Marksnotebook Tell a conservative the civil rights movement was a good thing a conservative gets angry. How does it feel to know your party is a wholly owned subsidiary of banks, insurance and the oil industry? Does it bother you that the chamber of commerce gets foreign money that helped pay for those republican attack ads?

  • @bartzkunt What a nasty name you have. Obama now owns about 1/2 of GM. Nothing to the story about the Chamber of commerce as Obama lied about that one and you are playing straight out of his playbook and remember, he lost big time two weeks ago on Nov 2. Who could have stopped the oil BP leak quicker? Obama but due to the Jones act (unions he protects here) he would not allow the Dutch to bring in oil skimmers 3 days after the spill happened. Banks? Its BO who owns em now. moron

  • @Marksnotebook Republicans say they are against shipping jobs oversees but that's a blatant lie, chamber of commerce donated 75 million dollars to the republican party because they know this. This money comes from foreign and multi-national corporations and as awesome as this is its even more awesome because they don't even have to disclose where this money comes from... Just because Glenn Beck tells you Obama lies doesn't mean it's not true lol..

  • @bartzkunt The fact of the matter is this: The democrats have forced big business and middle businesses to go overseas due to the gigantic corporate tax which businesses pay here. It is 35 percent for business. In China, India and other nations who are craving for our business, they offer tax on businesses for 5 percent, 7 percent,, so lure our people there. Who would not go with those low rates? You lose again.

  • @bartzkunt The facts are the United States has one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world. 35 percent! That's why many businesses go over seas. Lower the tax rates and they'll come back and jobs will be here and you won't see so many "made in China" but people like you who hate business and capitalism keep taxing the shit out of the American people and business so many are leaving here for cheaper tax rates. Poor people do not create jobs. The business and rich do.

  • Respond to this video... If Obama hadn't tried to appease republicans by off shore drilling in the first place the BP incident never would have happened. If the people who are suppose to regulate the oil companies weren't bribed and doing their jobs the BP incident wouldn't have happened (republicans hate all forms of regulation FYI).The BP incident illustrates why the free market philosophy fails, I'm suprised you would even bother bring that up.

  • @bartzkunt Regarding off shore drilling......WRONG again bud....It was the democrats following their marching orders from the left wing greenies and environmental wacko jobs who said NO OIL DRILLING ON SHORE OR OFF SHORE NEAR U.S. SHORES...so the big oil companies had no choice but to go out to sea in deep waters to drill. Yet China is drilling less than 90 miles from Florida near Cuba. Interesting how other nations are drilling near our shores but BO won't allow our country to do so.

  • @bartzkunt FYI, many republicans voted for the civil rights movement so you lose again. You play straight into my hand which is easy to tell as you lie.

  • @Marksnotebook LMFAO nevermind buddy, I just read your profile. You can disregard these comments I thought I was talking with a person, you... you're something less :/

  • The Bush tax cuts will continue libs. They do help our economy and if not continued it will be the biggest tax increase on the American people. We don't need that now. And it will not create a 700 billion dollar budget debt. We cut spending that much and things will be fine and yes, we can easily cut 700 billion out of our budget and be just fine. Rid this country of all the welfare and entitlement programs and we'll do well.

  • @Marksnotebook Again I will explain for you dummies. Poor people do not create jobs. Middle class and the rich do as they have money to spend. When they receive more money in their pocket from tax cuts, they invest and spend it. Then products and services are needed and a business will hire more people to make the goods and services. Its really that elementary.

  • @Marksnotebook trickle down economics have not worked you sad sad man, every economist will disagree with your folksy common sense logic. The whole notion of conservatism is based of lack of empathy and ability to understand the reality of the situation in America. Today we live in a banana republic where the separation between the rich and the poor is so far of the charts it's pathetic and if you aren't filthy rich, you are a sad man defending the richest and most powerful.. shame on you lol..

  • @bartzkunt We have the largest debt today than ever before. Obama has caused this hands down and the people showed their desires at the polls this past Nov 2 2010. We gained about 65 U.S. House GOP seats...we gained 7 U.S. Senate GOP seats...we gained over 680 GOP state legislature seats...we gained and now have 29 U.S. Governor GOP seats. I think that speaks better for the case against Obama than I can ever do. WE the people voted down Obama's radical agenda. Facts are stubborn things

  • @Marksnotebook Voter turn out has nothing to do with the general populations consensus. The reality is most progressive thinkers are 18-30's, a combination of apathy and traditional lack of young voter turn out doesn't mean we as a country want to repeal civil rights lol. Just because most seniors traditionally vote conservative and have the highest turn out doesn't make the party of NO the American philosophy. Psst.. Reagen, Nixon, and Bush(s) were atrocious at balancing the budget.

  • @bartzkunt Your young voters are not enthusiastic about Obama anymore says the polls. They are realizing they will have to pay more in taxes also under this BO. The fact is you lefties lost BIG TIME and you know it so now you try to spin it which is silly. People voted for change this last NOV 2 and they are going to get it now and in 2 years. Obama LOST more midterm seats than Reagan, Nixon, or Bush ever did. Obama LOST more mid term seats than even Clinton in 1994. He's a joke.

  • @bartzkunt Its called lowering taxes on all people. The notion that people who pay taxes don't deserve a tax break is communistic in nature. We have too much government waste and we should stop the spending and lower taxes. That's what gives people freedoms rather than your stupid idea of more taxes, more spending...well what happens when the unemployment rate keeps going up as it has under Obama? Eventually there won't be enough people to pay taxes for all his stupid programs! ARSE.

  • @Marksnotebook and lowering taxes in the midst of this economic moment will work HOW?

  • @ccm800 YOU cut spending and lower taxes. There is plenty of waste in government today. And who likes to pay more taxes? Only a few liberals and even some of them hate it as they look for deductions like heck also. We need a Fair tax system. That would give more power to the people and not to DC.

  • @Marksnotebook

we have the bush tax cuts when the jobs left to asia. Are you aware of that.

  • @MrTabby5000 I remember you! You are that nasty ole troll who goes around in all the rooms frustrating conservatives and others. You are one crazy person. Our corporate tax rate is 35 percent here in the US...that is the biggest reason why the jobs are gone. The corporate tax rates of many Asian nations for businesses are single digits to one half that amount. That's why businesses moved out of here! Lower taxes benefit ALL Americans and ALL businesses.

  • @Marksnotebook

when the tax rates were 90%(marginal rates) in the republican eisenhower administration.we actually made steel, here where I live in chicago south side where I live here there was 5 steel mills within ten miles of my residence, the closest was two blocks away. Now there is none.

reagan outsourcing destroyed our economy.Michael dell is spending billions on his manufacturing computers in china, communist china, reagan never told the red chinese to tear down their wall.

  • @MrTabby5000 Yes that was right after world war two so the country was booming and our empire expanded as we were the few in the world that could produce products so there was a market for the products as Europe was in ruins, and all the rest of the world was basically underdeveloped. As far as up to date the unions ruined the steel along with all the government regulations of EPA, etc. The mills moved out. They could not handle the EPA regulations and union pay.

  • @MrTabby5000 Detroit is in ruins and who runs it? DEMOCRATS. Your area is run by DEMOCRATS. Your steel mills are ruined due to 70 dollar per hour steel union pay which the mills could not keep up with. Nobody deserves that kind of money for just factory work! I am a medical professional and I don't even make that much with a big degree. You drop tax rates, drop union wages, drop EPA regulations and get the government out of the business of businesses and you'll see more mills.

  • @MrTabby5000 By the time Reagan came into office the steel mills were closing man. We had an unemployment rate of almost 9 percent. Interest rates were 20 percent. 20 percent man! That was before Reagan man! And inflation was almost 8 percent. Reagan dropped interest rates to 10 percent, dropped inflation to 4 percent, dropped unemployement to 4.5 percent and stopped the evil empire of the Soviet Union. You are know nothing about history. You badger every one on all the sites

  • @MrTabby5000 Some other facts. The democrats would not allow us to drill for oil on shore or in Alaska's ANWR and Reagan wanted that in the 1980s but to no avail since the dems controlled the congress. Since the 1950s the democrats controlled the Congress and blocked all the oil exploration drilling they could find. We have continuously had to seek more oil overseas thanks to them. So many jobs were lost due to higher oil prices which truckers, trains, planes and busses pay for.

  • @MrTabby5000 Reagan dropped tax rates and allowed a higher death tax deductable which was needed. People were having to put their money in irrevocable trusts. Lawyers loved that. It cost many families billions of dollars paid to lawyers and to the government. When a man inherits money and has paid taxes once on it, that should be enough. Reagan tried to stop all death taxes and CD savings taxes but the dems stopped those ideas, too.

  • @MrTabby5000 The final point I am making is higher taxes do not help stimulate the economy nor does spending our way out of debt. Why is it that you libs and radicals believe that you can spend our way out of debt? You can't do that with your own budget at home. If you try it you'll go broke! What makes you think you can do this at the state and federal levels? It is afterall OUR tax dollars. Government is not the solution..it is the problem!

  • @MrTabby5000 Finally the threat in the 1980s was the old Soviet Union which was spending 100's of billions of dollars on missles aimed right smack dab at the US. The countries that were falling to communism and torture of course under the new dictatorships were many. Many fell under Carter. After Reagan came into office not one country fell to communism the entire time he was in office. China was not the big threat at that time.

  • @MrTabby5000 The corporate rates were high before and after the Bush tax cuts. The man did what he could for ordinary Americans so I guess you do understand this as this implies he helped the middle class rather than corporate huh? Watch out or you'll bite yourself. Tax rates are too high period. That is my point.

  • @MrTabby5000 I put up with you on another site once and you trolled around angering a bunch of people including me with your lies and bullshit. Tell a conservative a lie and he gets angry. Tell a liberal the truth and he gets angry!

  • @Marksnotebook Have you ever looked at the current tax sitch in a historical perspective? Like good economy versus what taxes citizens were paying at the time? I think you would find it interesting.

  • Have you ever looked at our taxes historically in comparison to the present moment. Like how much taxes were paid and how they were doled out amongst the "classes" in good economic times? I think you would find it enlightening.

  • @ccm800 YOU lower all tax rates for people because it is morally right to do so. People cannot get ahead because of high taxes. We have high federal rates, higher state rates, higher property tax rates, and higher social security tax rates! How is it that you believe government can solve our problems by raising taxes as It has not ever worked. We cut taxes and cut out all the excessive government waste and entitlement programs. That is what is needed.

  • @ccm800 I'll tell you what......since you radicals and libs and commies all want higher taxes and more spending.........YOU all offer up your own money to pay for this big government, OK? I think that's fair. You want higher taxes.....then you pay for em. We'll see how cowardly you suddenly become on paying big brother!

  • @ccm800 Senior citizens are paying up to 85 percent of their social security money income to the government.....yes its being taxed up to 85 percent now! Clinton passed that tax increase as part of his first few weeks in office back in 1993. You want higher taxes then you pay em. We don't want higher taxes as the government just wastes the money.

  • @Marksnotebook BS! It depends on what you make elsewise like any income. Social Security benefits are taxed depending on your total income from all sources.People who are on SS alone do not pay taxes.

  • @Marksnotebook Or rich and middle class people can bank it, which is most likely the case, a scientific study, go internet it. Also isn't this Ran Paul a self appointed Ophthalmologist. Can I self appoint myself a brain surgeon astronaut on my resume? lol.

  • @Marksnotebook Give the rich more money and take away 1 out of 6 people's food stamps they need only because of a broken system.. I'm chalking your cruelty up to ignorance otherwise you are one evil prick.

  • Not in support of Rand Paul but I have a feeling somthing is taken out of contex here. I could be wrong but out of all the laughter and mockery here I think he was making a symbolic point that the system itself does not see rich or poor but rather employer, producer, and consumer and if rich or poor you play a role in this system. There is no true tax for the rich because this is passed down to the poor by raising cost of goods to pay the tax of the rich. Poor have always and will always pay.

  • Ayn-Rand Paul = Mega tool.

Yes, we either work for rich people or sell them stuff or have sex with them for money or dance of their amusement or cook their food, wipe their ass.

Yes, this is a great idea Paul has... Great idea.

  • So Rand Paul is basically advocating the failed policy of Trickle-Down Reagan Economics?

Are his constituents really stupid enough to buy his bullshit?

  • How much more bitching will you liberals do about Rand Paul? You all lie and complain and must not have lives to live. Why don't you all just shut up and go out and work and if you want more taxes paid then you liberals pay up for the poor and other so called undesirables that society rejects.

  • @Marksnotebook

I love the tea bagger mind set... When liberals are offended by something or angered by something and we speak up, that automatically makes it "whining" and means we "have no lives"... We're the ones always having to drag window lickers like you into the next century. If you're a tea bagger and make less than 250,000 a year, you are not only a total tool of the rich, you're also borderline retarded. I bet you voted Bush twice.

  • @kingandybrown Yes mister lib, get your two bits in also. You all do.........I would rather have voted for Bush than this radical who was socialist from the start and the most liberal Senator of all. And why did he lose the mid terms? No president ever lost so many seats in a midterm as this one did since the early 1930s. NOW that there tells one something. We don't want his damn socialistic communistic, social justice bullshit. The socialist countries of Europe are broke. NO thanks.

  • @Marksnotebook Obama is a moderate, he always has been. Since Bush era this country has gone so batshit crazy right that someone that wants to stop insurance companies from denying babies is OF COURSE a socialist radical lol.

  • @bartzkunt A hahaha....well the people just voted and they rejected your precious man child. Be sure to nibble at his arse you feeble minded lib.

  • These Turk idiots completely missed the point... or they are intentionally misrepresenting what he said. 'I'm gonna give tax cuts to the rich so they can buy yachts'. Yah, Rand didn't say that. These Turk clowns are as bad as Olberman, O'reilly and the rest of the MSM retards.

  • The Young Turks. A Genocidal group of psychopaths, so why would anyone name themselves after such a group. Maybe another left wing internet pseudo news scam outfit can call itself the Khmer Rouge.

  • The libs hate it but Rand Paul is coming to the Senate and he along with Marco Rubio, and many others are going to change things around for the better. Like it or not, libs.......YOU LOST the elections big time. The GOP gained 682 state legislature seats, 10 governor seats, 7 and maybe 8 Senate seats and the big one is control of the Congress with about 65 new congressman coming in to clean up the Pelosi mess! Good bye Nancy! We DO NOT love you.

  • Ron Paul/Rand Paul 2012

  • The yacht tax money could go towards creating govt jobs for the same amount of money, I'm sure the amount of jobs created would be the same or more, and that the yacht industry wouldn't collapse.

But then again, govt jobs "don't count" for some reason, so let's fire all the teachers, firemen, & police officers, and give tax cuts for purchases of statues, helicopters, & gold that's served in food.

  • @MyTemporaryAccount88 Yeah you're right lets just take all of the money out of the private sector and put it in the public sector and then act surprised when our economy collapses. Public sector jobs do not contribute to our economy. They are leeches that feed off of hard working American Citizens the same way that the Lumpenproletariats on welfare do. They only way they contribute to the economy is by spending the money that they take from us. Fuck Government Employs! I'd rather have Anarchy!

  • @DanielDamascusKimery But that doesn't make any sense!

Examples of public sector: Fire dept, schools.

    Private sector: Clothes, instruments, computers.

Can be done by both: solar panels, roadsigns.

Public sector jobs contribute just as much to the economy? Money spent inside the country = stimulus to the economy. How do they not contribute to the economy? What is the magical difference?

Employers pays employees for a service, employees spends that money, employers get more money. Simple 'nuff?

  • @MyTemporaryAccount88 My Uncle Doug Harp was the youngest head of a State Police in U.S. History and was head of the Arkansas State Police. Both him and my Criminal Justice Instructor Chief White will tell you taking jobs out of the private sector to place them in the public sector is terrible for the economy. Out of the examples you listed only one shows the government a return on it's investment. That is the Police Force making Drug Arrest even though our Government is producing the Drugs.

  • @MyTemporaryAccount88 You sound just like Nancy Pelosi did when she said unemployment creates jobs (referring to social workers).

  • @DanielDamascusKimery Get your head out of your ass for a second and read what I wrote. At the end I was referring to the general way economics works, and the "employers" goes for both govt & businesses.

I'm not talking about "replacing jobs", I'm talking about jobs being jobs, a good thing, regardless of the source generating them, as the end result is the same.

Unemployment creates jobs the same way yacht tax-cuts create jobs, INEFFECTIVELY.

    Public/private doesn't matter, jobs&economy do.

  • @MyTemporaryAccount88 The History of Collectivism shows otherwise. Learn about The Soviet Union and China in the 20th century. You can't pay Government employees if everyone is a Government employee because the revenue to pay them with comes from the private sector. Duuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is Grade School Economics, but then again unlike you I had the benefit of a Private Education.

  • @DanielDamascusKimery Did that private education come with "learn to ignore the other persons argument, but respond in a douche-bag way"? You just did the thing I hate most with right-wingers. They rarely meet your argument, but they love to say "Oh we tried communism, it didn't work", when I'm not advocating communism!

If you can't actually meet my argument with an argument, then you can talk to a wall, I'm sure it's interested in hearing what a dick you are.

Meet my arguments, or don't argue

  • @MyTemporaryAccount88 I just met your argument and then you deflected with a rant about right wingers that you stole from somebody else that has been repeated a thousand times and isn't even applicable to what I just said. Do you know why Communism doesn't work? It's because Marx and Engels were a couple of fucking morons. Anyone with a shred of common sense that's read " The Communist Manifesto" will tell you this.

  • @DanielDamascusKimery In what universe did you meet my arguments? I wrote in general about how jobs stimulate the economy, be the employer a govt or corporation, & the money pumped into the system into taxes or corporations. Your response was to go into the "History of Collectivism", soviet union, china. How is that not what I just got pissed about? You ignored my argument, and talked about communism.

I believe in social democracy, aka jobs coming from both public&private sector, cuz it works.

  • @MyTemporaryAccount88 How many times do I haft to explain to you? Even though People in the Public Sector pay taxes and buy stuff that doesn't change the fact that their JOBS come out of our TAX DOLLARS they are leeches that drain our pocket books just like people in entitlement programs do. Saying Public sector jobs is good for the economy is like saying that Government Subsidies are good for the economy. I'm done with you. You are right arguing with you is like arguing with a wall.

  • @DanielDamascusKimery Well you could've clarified that your opinion was like such instead of dragging in the "history of collectivism", your last post explains so much more of your opinions than all your other posts together.

I get your opinion, and I commend you for being consistent with it (govt jobs & subsidies both get thrown out the window), now we're making progress.

However, my question then becomes: Is this a principled opinion or could "the right facts" sway your opinion?

  • @MyTemporaryAccount88 It's quite perspicuous now that you're too young, stupid, and uneducated to have this conversation with me. Get a job and read a book. I give you facts then you say that I am running from the debate. I debate you and then you accuse me of having opinions instead of facts. Having a debate with you is like arguing with a misinformed child with ADD about Economics. I'll let you have the last word now since you think talking last means you win.

  • @DanielDamascusKimery ... Really? I guess you read my last post with a different tone of voice than I imagined writing it, I'm trying to understand your position, and things got heated when we got de-railed. Keep on with the insults, but I want to try to understand your position here.

The question I'm asking is a theoretical one: If studies claimed that many govt employees (only for certain sectors), & subsidies helped the economy, would you consider changing your opinions or is it a principle?

  • @DanielDamascusKimery

Do public school (government) teachers pay taxes in the U.S.?

  • @mastersquirrel3 All paying taxes does is make the government bigger. Large governments and healthy economies are mutually exclusive. Could one of you socialist victims of our failed public school system please at least take a fucking economics class at a junior college before trying to debate me about how to go about fixing our economy? That's how we got in this mess to begin with, too many idiots talking without knowing what they are talking about.

  • @DanielDamascusKimery This clown (danieldamascusKimery) was privately educated at home by his moonshine making parents. He is just a loser who who went to the army because he couldn't do anything else in life. And hes a coward. Shutting off the responses to his page. Yeah, your'e a real soldier, You can't even fight a war of words. Douche.

  • @blackricanprinces Shut up you Niggerican Crackhead. I was in the Marine Corp 31st MEU. Not the Army. The word soldier is an epithet in the Marine Corp. Just so you know my Mother owns her own Real Estate Firm and my Step Dad is a Lawyer and I went to Gospel Light Christian School and Garland Park Christian Academy. After the Marine Corp I got my Bachelors in Criminal Justice from UALR. All you are is a Pathetic Nigger Troll. Stop following me and go back under your bridge.

  • @DanielDamascusKimery Whatever, SOLDIER. Your mother owns a Brothel and a moonshine distillery, nothing more. And your drunken dad is more likely a beer-gut, receding hair-line, fouled-mouth, uncouth douche. You can spout out a list of schools if you like. Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, I don't believe you. I seriously doubt you have more than a High School education. And the next time you're on my page jerking over my picture, keep in mind that I am and will always be better than you.

  • @blackricanprinces I'm not a soldier I'm a MARINE you fucking moron. If you're so much better than me as you say then why won't you stop stalking me? People don't spend all their time following people that they are better than. I don't know how many times I haft to tell you that I don't date outside my Species. Please move on with your life. I mean seriously my nig lifes too Short.

  • @DanielDamascusKimery that wouldnt last long someone always grabs power

  • @nottinmatterz2day OBVIOUSLY It's was satire. Please don't tell me you think the Onion is serious.

  • @MTWEmperor they make jokes of things people say, usually more at people under the label republican

half the people with eyes in todays world couldn't understand the satire

  • Look around your house, everything you see was made by a rich person (probably actually made by a poor person in China, but for the benefit of the rich). If we raise taxes, the corporations, and the people who run them, will just pass the cost right down to us.

People do not produce goods for the good of the government. They do it to make money.

    This video was really stupid.

  • poor clip and poor interpretation....you know better than that TYT. His statement was not meant to be taken literally. His suggestion or platform theme was to not make distinctions and single any class out to resolve the problems of the economy. Whether that is the better approach or not, is another debate. I am not a Rand Paul supporter, in fact I am quite liberal, but smart enough to interpret political jargon. Do better guys, I am an avid watcher of the show.

  • @Queram I can't agree with you anymore. I hate it when TYT does this.

  • @Queram You are an avid TYT viewer, but you can't tell when they're being sarcastic to make fun of an idiotic political talking point? Are you sure you've been watching THIS show? Perhaps you are mistaking it for Charlie Rose or one of the other straight political analysis shows. Essentially, TYT is 1/3 Meet the press, 1/3 The Daily show, and 1/3 Entertainment Tonight. Politics, pop culture, and analysis is what this show is. Why do I have to keep explaining this to supposedly frequent viewers?

  • @xJoeEDangerouslyx I am afraid you missed the mark. They use satire from time to time, agreed. But not in this clip. If you still do not agree, I encourage you to peruse the other comments posted, as no other viewer assumed as much. Instead they took the remarks made by Cenk and the co-host at "face value". And before you decide to pass judgment on their comprehension skills, that is moot.

  • HOW DO THESE IDIOTS GET ELECTED!??!

    I just don't understand!

Our electorate should not feed into the bullshit that they feed us

  • That quote from Rand should sit next to quotes from Aristotle and Jefferson. Too bad for these two idiots, you can't fix stupid.

  • Is anybody really surprised? Like dogs, politicians serve their masters...on the agenda for today will be to convince ppl earning less then 40K, that tax cuts, costing them 700b that will go to ppl making 250k, is in their best interest...next everybody close your eyes and pray real hard, that the crumbs off the CEO's table will fall to yours...GOOD LUCK!

  • "We all work for rich people or sell stuff to rich people" wtf........ thats all everybody does... what about selling stuff to poor people or middle class... fucken asshole. And there are no rich people but the economy still runs by providing services to rich people?

  • Why this guy won over Conway, I'll never know…

  • Libertarians philosophy seems like it's intertwined with Scientology it seems like they share the same kind of beliefs.

  • @Useyno haha, please tell us more jokes.

  • no no don't worry your not poor you just don't exist

  • wow...i really respected ron paul. even though i didn't always agree with him, he was still a sensible man and was not an idiot hypocrite like most republicans. in fact, if anybody painted all republicans with a broad brush, i would be quick to point out ron paul as the excception.

it's too bad his son didn't turn out to be as sensible as his father...

    smdh...

  • lol, you liberals are getting more pathetic by day.

  • @spol07

Another comment that Derka Durr sums it up.

  • I love how people think tax cuts for the rich is going to create jobs. We've had those for how long? Do you see the new jobs because I don't. What creates jobs is consumers for the goods and services. The middle class is in tatters. The economy can't recover as long as that stands.

  • @pomptonqueen They are not tax cuts for the rich. They are tax cuts for all people who pay taxes including the rich. Rich people buy lots of expensive things that workers at all levels manufacture in plants and otherwise. Middle class businesses buy materials when they are not taxed so much and that creates more jobs. Do you get it now? Lower taxes for everyone works.

  • @Marksnotebook but when the guy making it has to work 2 jobs to pay the rent then it doesn't work out so much for him

  • @Marksnotebook Realy??? How has lower taxes for everyone "worked"?

The problem with ideologues, on both the left and right, is that they totally ignore facts that don't justify their opinions. Tax cuts do NOT create jobs. The evidence , at best, point to their irrelevance.

  • @johnedwards1968 Tax cuts do create more wealth for anyone. When a person has more money in their pocket to spend or invest they will do so. Thus creating jobs. But only a fool like you would argue that paying more taxes to spread the wealth around is a good thing, you radical commie.

  • @Marksnotebook Using your own logic, when a person has more money in their pockets to spend or invest, they will right?

So how does this impact where that money goes then? Are you arguing FOR redistribution of wealth? Surely you see that spreading the wealth will cause poor people to spend just as quickly as rich?

I'm not arguing for taxation as a means to "spread the wealth". I only argue with it to pay your countries' damn bills. Tax policy is a lousy economic generator EITHER way!

  • @johnedwards1968 WRONG....there is not a human being with sense in their head who lives in the US that would not mind paying less in taxes. Therefore they would spend more and save more money. Its not spreading the wealth around like Obama who robs from the middle to upper class and gives to the poor so they don't have to work. Its about fairness. Cut spending big time. Cut the social justice programs and start a fair tax which is fair and balanced. Taxes will be cut again. No doubt.

  • @Marksnotebook

If what Obama's done is "raising taxes on the middle class", then I'd love to see what your thoughts are on the Bush Tax Cuts... Or you're like most Republicans and choose to pretended like the Bush Presidency never happened. T

  • @johnedwards1968 Remember also that the money we pay in taxes can only go so far. If we keep placing more people on welfare as Obama has done, then eventually we'll run out of people to pay taxes. What then? That's when the country starts losing its world leader status and other nations begin to take over our debt, our assets, and competition beats us to the pulp also. You cannot keep raising taxes on everyone. It will not work! You lower taxes, cut spending which works. God help me.

  • @Marksnotebook Aren't you being a bit of a silly partisan here? In all honesty George W. Bush put more people on welfare. Are you willing to blame him as well?

  • @Marksnotebook Your country has been losing it's world leader status since Reagan. In all fairness, China has been eating your dinner for years.

  • @Marksnotebook Rich people don't spend their tax cuts. They have their boats and cars and houses already. What they do with the money is stick it in the bank or but stocks in companies that already exist and have already gone public. This does not create jobs. If you want to create jobs give money to poor people because they all have a list of things they need but can't afford. They won't save it they'll go out and spend it.

  • @philpalx The hell they don't spend the tax cuts as I know some people who are friends that do spend it. And when they spend it they create jobs as somebody has to make that new boat or new car or vacations which require service industry jobs to cater to people with money. Don't start the social justice bs. Its a bunch of bull. The poor people never create jobs as they live on welfare which is OUR money. You people must be from another planet. I'm always amazed.

  • You libs are always up to your silly bitching, complaining, and lies about Rand Paul or any conservative. Did you all hear about good ole Keith Olberman ooops.........Obie .....ooops OPIE? LOL Who says he's fair and balanced but yet he donated 2400 dollars to Jack Conway's campaign and we all know what happened there. LOL Anyway, Obie is off the air now for violating ethics and campaign contributions to dems. HE aint fair. He's a far lefty. And he lies, too. But he's toast also.

  • @Marksnotebook I love it. I love it so much I feel like a new person now that we creamed your liberal butts bigtime even in many blue states. We're going to turn this country back around and head it in the direction of capitalism, we are going to stop spreading the wealth around like Obama desires and start creating real jobs with tax cuts, spending cuts and other reforms including court nominess who will interpret rather than legislate from the bench.

  • @Marksnotebook

    Derka Durr.

    Sums up your comment.

  • Rand Paul is just saying that because he's rich.

  • @AdrianReviews Ted Kennedy was 50 times richer than Rand Paul so what's your point? Many Senators and congressmen and women are rich. Get over it

  • @Aggie254

I read hes party program, hes web site etc. I dont even watch MSNBC... So dont act like you are the only one that does some research before replaying. Ron Paul is advocating isolationism and a turn away from international dealings. He wants a US pre wwii, which is not a good economical choice for a large country like USA.

I dont care why you think, falsely, Carling, who according to himself did NOT vote on principle since 1972, would vote Ron Paul because its a moronic statement.

  • @Lobos222 Again you are all lefties and you are so angry your party in power lost so big that you have nothing to say but lies and bullshit. WE won. We the people. The tea party won with conservatives. We won 10 GOP governors, 65 house seats, 7 maybe 8 senate seats, and most people are not aware that the GOP won 680 state legislature seats from the states. That is a gigantic historic win.

  • @Marksnotebook

    LoL, learn to read.

I wasnt talking about the current election, but congratulations on giving more money from your pocket to the rich... Hope the small tax cut that only increases inflation and probably overall reduces your buying power was worth it.Oh wait, the Democrats gave the middle class a tax cut. The GOP only wanted to keep the rich peoples"Bush"tax cut.

Lastly, not that you would take a second to actually check,I critic the Democrats just as much as GOP when warranted.

  • @Lobos222 The tax cuts do benefit 10s of millions of people If losing 500,000 dollars to you is small then you're very misguided as a lib. But that's what can happen to the middle class with inheritance tax. Right now you won't pay any death tax if you inherit 3 million dollars under the Bush tax cut, but next year you would pay 55 percent on 3 million. That could be 500,000 or more actually. Nobody really knows yet since the damn radicals are still in charge for a couple more months.

  • @Lobos222 The first tax rate starts at 15 percent now rather than Bush's 10 percent. The the next rate goes up more and so on. Its a trickle up effect of taxes on everyone who pays taxes. We do not need to spread the wealth around. I suggest you go to the accountant of your choice and he'll tell you this information and that I am correct. You will find out if these cuts are not passed as you will pay more in taxes, IF you work.

  • @Lobos222 And from the looks of other's responding to you, I think you probably are stupid and a loon.

  • @Lobos222 - Please provide one link where Ron Paul advocates isolationism. A quick wiki definition of isolationism - "a foreign policy which combines a non-interventionist military policy and a political policy of economic nationalism (protectionism)". Militarily yes, but saying he is an isolationist ECONOMICALLY is absolutely false.

He does NOT want protectionism. He wants peace and free trade with ALL nations including Cuba. Exact opposite of protectionism. (FYI NAFTA is not free trade)

  • @Lobos222 - Furthermore, the fact that you did "research" and still came up with your conclusion leads me to believe you are an idiot. Ignorance is cured with knowledge. Sorry no cure for idiots.

Protectionism - "There should be legal barriers to control trade and cultural exchange with people in other states." (states = countries)

Ron Paul is a proponent of Austrian economics. Again he wants free trade with all nations, NOT legal barriers.

  • @tastingo88 Yes, because no people are born rich and no people are born poor. We are all born with the average economy we need, and that changes based on how much we work.

Shouldn't you be back in the 1950's by now. They propably miss you.

  • How come taxes are seen as a punishment, and not an oppertunity to help the country? Furthermore, why is taxes so often considered theft? If anything, it's closer to rent. And why does that man claim that there are no poor people? Is he just that sheltered?

  • I have to agree with rand paul on this one. Trickle-down

  • My Favorite Part of Election night was MSNBC after Rand Paul's Victory speech where 5 of MSNBC's were like omg Rand Paul is goanna filibuster raising the dept ceiling preventing the Govt. from borrowing. Then the said Rand Paul will cause the global depression Rand Paul who gets inaugerated in Jan. Rand Paul who has been working as an Optometrist the last this whole time will cause a depression NOT the Banks NOT the Fed Not the Republicans Not the Democrats. Senator Elect Rand Paul by himself

  • @iamsean90 Its amazing how so few viewers of MSNBC can cause such a stink. I don't know how that news channel and organization stays in business. They only have about 600,000 viewers per night, so the ratings say. Fo
