There have been studies that prove that people that believe in EXTERNAL INFLUENCES are less intelligent than logcical thinkers. I will take those studies seriously. In all seriousness, Prager Happiness hour is interesting radio, but it does show his bias toward the right and than I have to question why he even has this happiness hour.

I think he has the Happiness Hour for two main reasons. The issue of happiness has always been important to him. That's why he wrote a book on happiness about 15 years ago. He truly believes that we all have a moral obligation to at least act - if not be - as happy as possible for the sake of others. The more practical reason that he has The Happiness Hour is because of how popular it is with his listeners.

The Happiness Hour was his first dedicated Hour. At this point in time he has 2 other dedicated hours - The Ultimate Issues Hour (on Tuesdays), and The Male-Female Hour (on Wednesdays).

I believe that you're the one with the agenda, and that you're projecting regarding your analysis of Prager. Studies have shown that conservatives (and especially religious conservatives) do tend to be happier than liberals.

Of course, that qualifies as a generalization - there are always exceptions. Perhaps you're one of them.

Everything Prager says is perfectly consistent with all that he wrote many years ago in "Think A Second Time," and in "Happiness Is A Serious Problem."

Prior to the mid-nineteen eighties, Prager was a Democrat. He still considers himself to be a "JFK Liberal."

Not all liberals I meet are unhappy by any means. But the ones I hear on talk radio and TV come across as bitter, resentful, and replete with ad hominem attacks.

I am held hostage to right wing radio because of the fact that when I work there is not much to listen too. I will usually resort to sports or an occasional talk show on NPR. I will say this. I am probably one of the few dems that enjoy the happiness hour by Mr. Prager.

the very worst part of Dennis Prager's radio show is when he insists on singing this song. He has a TERRIBLE singing voice. Far worse, he could not care less that he is adversely affecting others when he so badly sings this. Dennis should have said the "Yes it is!" line. We who listen to him each Friday are so used to hearing his voice singing "Happy, happy" etc. it would have been great to hear him on this one.

Yeah. It was really a thrill to meet him. If you've never been to a talk that Dennis has given, you really ought to.

Extremely personable, and gigantically tall, he is everything you imagine him to be from listening to his show, and much, much more.

Aside from the sort of common sense, clarifying speech that one would expect to hear from Dennis, he managed to earn the kind of belly laughs that one would expect to hear only in a comedy club.

He's an extraordinary speaker.
