All candidates, and people already in a public office, should have a website where discussions can take place on issues between citizens and elected officials. I'm tired of the canned responses I get when I contact an elected official. I already know your view, that's why I'm contacting you, to inform you of the way Americans think the issue(s) should be handled. I want you to tell me why you think that way when the majority of Americans do not.

please keep in mind the next Prez doesn't take over until Jan '09, or when the North American Union could mess up elections. We have to use Dr. Paul's candidacy to push the "real" politics he's discussed for 30 years into the mainstream to get "real" change. We've got issues to deal with fast, and it doesn't hurt to explain to people in clear detail why they have to vote for him too... :-)

If you come out to Long Beach California I will treat you to dinner. Thus far the only disagreement I have with you is on the minimum wage issue. The trend in the workplace is to hire more part time workers so the company can cut costs on benefits. Then the pt worker is often asked to work full time hours. This also causes the Maytag plant to close it's doors and move to find cheaper labor. Your ideas on turning the vacant plants into bio-diesel (etal) industries are good ones.

Obama may be young but he is smart and he is not bush. I think that to turn this country back around to the way it should be he is our best shot so far. He will focus on topics that are important for our country not just the middleeastern war but things like healthcare and globalwarming things that really do matter to regular people like me.
