I have seen this somewhere before, ooh thats right Episode II's dialogue with small twists. Lightsaber fights need to not have dialogue unless it is written by George Lucas otherwise you just end up sounding like dumb. Good special effects though.

Hey -- from the effects side, you did some really nice work -- you're missing a few frames, and I see that people have given you notes on the acting, perhaps also, watch the framing of the shots next time... there were a lot of moments when the actors got off their marks and disappeared from the frame... but in terms of the effects, which, I believe you said that's what this project was all about, it was one of the best I've seen! Especially the ships, very few people do that at all! Nice.

hey well i watch alot of fan films and this is one of the best i have seen towards the whole effects of the light saber and the the ships were nice because you dont see that ever but the acting could have used some work, although some times towards the end it felt rushed after the first jedi's death. But overall i really got the star wars feel from this video by the camera effects and the use of the music i think its one of the best i have seen congratulations!! great vid

Just some advice: Instead of going black when you have an effect you can't quiet do, just sit down and think, you can find certain camera angles that will make the effect look "realistic" yet still be on screen.

2 comments though. 1: I think if the speed had been a bit faster, it would have improved the fight. It was very good, but did need slightly faster action. And 2: It stole WAY too much from Episodes 1 and 2. The film idea was so original, and then those copies came in... I thought it cheapened the film.

That said, please bear in mind that I'm only writing so critically because I think it's WORTH criticising. It's one of the best saber films I've seen here.

The only part I didn't like was the dialogue, a bit sketchy at times... I don't think a Jedi would say "You guys get outta here!", etc.  The Jedi's linguistic register is usually more formal ;)
