People, why do we fight about whats better... Forza or gt5? because all of us that plays those 2 games have passion for cars... GT5 has rally, has snow rally, gokarts, has nascar, and the damage is so realistic, it also has drafting smoke, and all that. Top Gear worked with GT 5 for a reason. GT 5 spent over 4 years making this game which 1.5 of was testing each and every car's sound of the engine, recording it at each rpm, km, and then putting it into the game. They also studied reflections of each and every angle, to get the car glow effect. And people respect Forza.... :(((

FYI - I've had a PS3 and PSN account since their release. I paid the $1,000+ dollars for mine. On my second "slimline" one now, coz I played the old one so much, it broke! I bought an Xbox 360 three weeks ago, so that I'm ready for Forza 4.
And if we're comparing systems...PS3 is a far superior entertainment system. Xbox is for games.
I've been a Playstation die hard for years...still the better system ;) BUT! I played GT5 and thought WOW! this looks great, but oh, it pretty much hasn't changed all that much since I last played it on PS1...GT2 (except the graphics, of course)...then, I went to a mates house and played Forza 3.... ;) so I went and bought an Xbox 360. GT5 is a great game, but it's just not Forza. It's Forza, then a gap, for all other racing games...and that's coming from a GT/Playstation person.

What you don't see in these videos are how fucked up the shadows are in GT5. Forza 2 is better than GT5 IMO, and Forza 4 will tear it a new one. I have both games and I barely even played GT5.
I have both... Gran Turismo all fucking life: Rally, F1, Le Mans, Nascar, GT series, 24 Hrs Endurances, B Spec mode, Seasonal Events, Updates, Gift cars, Collectibles, Car Wash, Oil change, 1000+ cars, and much more.
Just to compare graphically (you can't really base off of videos on the internet that's why I have them both plugged into the same tv) GT5 is obviously more detailed, but seriously it's not that impressive, infact for 6 plus years of development it's downright atrocious. There's literally jagged edges on almost every curve of the car, not to mention all over the track plus screen tearing. Forza 3 is much, much, much more smooth graphically than GT5 and almost just as good detail wise...
Okay let's settle things, that trailer for Forza is not actual gameplay footage, they edited it for selling. The cars are NOT that shiny... GT5 doesn't need to do that, they've got blu-ray and the best console processor with them. Just sayin'! Only facts, PS3 processor is better when running exclusives, it runs at like 1/4th the potential when playing Xbox ported games... Not a fanboy, I go by the truth is all. But the Xbox processor is better when they are both stand alone.
@aaronrocs I mean when both consoles are running the same games, the Xbox should be better because of it's specs. But don't forget, when PS3 runs a game like Modern Warfare 2, which is ported from Xbox; the PS3 runs at not max capability because it doesn't need to run it's full processor on the ported games. A reason why the exclusives look better is because they are using the PS3's full potential.
@aaronrocs The PS3 has better graphics and more powerful, but the Xbox gets most of the multi-platform games made on there first, which means it's optimized for that console, then they port it over to PS3. A game made on PS3 first, like Final Fantasy 12 or 13 idk which one but it looked better on PS3 cause it was made on their first. Xbox has a better graphics chip, but PS3 is overall better and more powerful. Both are great consoles. I play both but mostly my PS3, I don't want to pay for LIVE.

Both games are good. Forza 3 has alot of cars i like and few repeative cars, unlike GT (type A, Type J,ect). I've beaten GT4 without ever needing to change to oil, i doubt GT5 is different. Forza offers alot more customizing, so your not out driving against the CPU that looks just like you. You can that photos in Forza at any track around the world. All of the cars have GT5's "premium" veiws in Forza. GT5 took forever and a day to come out and they're both still very close.
@CamaroAmx Forza hasn't been around as long as GT. I think the reason GT5 took so long is that GT had no real competion at the time. now with the forza series, new GTs will be out alot faster and have to keep. not just improving on itself, but on Forza. And vice versa. A proper comparasion will be GT5 vs, Forza 4. Forza 3 was competing against GT4 since GT4 was on the market and GT5 was years away at the time. But nothing like healthy competion to improve the breed, as they say.

@NaNo7R I have Forza 1 and 3, GT 1,2,and 4. I've played FM2 and GT3. I still play FM3 and GT1, 2, and 4 (on my 2nd copy). I'm a huge fan car customizing and having a wide selection of different cars. I play Forza for gameplay and customization. I play GT for the oddball cars (and it also has several cars I've owned/ own. Forza only has 1 car I own in real life, the AMX. mine's a 73, Forza has a 71, but there basicaly the same.) and the challenge.

gt5 better cause of the realistic steering, physics, settings, tuning, interior, graphics, highly modelled premium cars, 1000+ cars, and especially all its features like taking care of your car (changing oil and so on), watch replays with many options and views, taking photos in different places around the world on your cars, and too chose your own music in game and the ability to share almost everything. b-spec and a-spec and game modes and creating your own tracks, great updates and much more!
Well I haven't played forza motorsport but in gameplays and other comparizons it looks great...both games are great.....I only have played Gran Turismo 4 which was my first game and gran turismo 5 in a DVD Rental Shop where they had a playstation 3 and a 42 inch Sony Bravia
I think it's funny that people compare GT to FM. Between the release of GT4 and GT5 FM came out with 3 games and is very close to releasing their 4th now. I'd effing hope that a game that took that long to make was even worth comparing to Forza. Before you see GT6 Forza will be on FM9. Just to compare graphically (you can't really base off of videos on the internet that's why I have them both plugged into the same tv) GT5 is obviously more detailed, but seriously it's not that impressive, infact for 6 plus years of development it's downright atrocious. There's literally jagged edges on almost every curve of the car, not to mention all over the track plus screen tearing. Forza 3 is much, much, much more smooth graphically than GT5 and almost just as good detail wise...

Okay let's settle things, that trailer for Forza is not actual gameplay footage, they edited it for selling. The cars are NOT that shiny... GT5 doesn't need to do that, they've got blu-ray and the best console processor with them. Just sayin'! Only facts, PS3 processor is better when running exclusives, it runs at like 1/4th the potential when playing Xbox ported games... Not a fanboy, I go by the truth is all. But the Xbox processor is better when they are both stand alone.

@aaronrocs I mean when both consoles are running the same games, the Xbox should be better because of it's specs. But don't forget, when PS3 runs a game like Modern Warfare 2, which is ported from Xbox; the PS3 runs at not max capability because it doesn't need to run it's full processor on the ported games. A reason why the exclusives look better is because they are using the PS3's full potential.

@aaronrocs The PS3 has better graphics and more powerful, but the Xbox gets most of the multi-platform games made on there first, which means it's optimized for that console, then they port it over to PS3. A game made on PS3 first, like Final Fantasy 12 or 13 idk which one but it looked better on PS3 cause it was made on their first. Xbox has a better graphics chip, but PS3 is overall better and more powerful. Both are great consoles. I play both but mostly my PS3, I don't want to pay for LIVE.

Both games are good. Forza 3 has alot of cars i like and few repeative cars, unlike GT (type A, Type J,ect). I've beaten GT4 without ever needing to change to oil, i doubt GT5 is different. Forza offers alot more customizing, so your not out driving against the CPU that looks just like you. You can that photos in Forza at any track around the world. All of the cars have GT5's "premium" veiws in Forza. GT5 took forever and a day to come out and they're both still very close.

@CamaroAmx Forza hasn't been around as long as GT. I think the reason GT5 took so long is that GT had no real competion at the time. now with the forza series, new GTs will be out alot faster and have to keep. not just improving on itself, but on Forza. And vice versa. A proper comparasion will be GT5 vs, Forza 4. Forza 3 was competing against GT4 since GT4 was on the market and GT5 was years away at the time. But nothing like healthy competion to improve the breed, as they say.

@CamaroAmx Thats right forza 3 is better in graphics, gameplay, and physics when i play forza 3 when i crash on story mode i can actually feel like im in real life driving especially in cockpit veiw infact i just got that acheivement right now. well not so much in physics you cant rewind in real life, also i dont know 'Cause i like forza 2 kind of better i can always get a game online and when i crash it tells me where im damaged most on my car and if my wheels are burning rubber.

@NaNo7R I have Forza 1 and 3, GT 1,2,and 4. I've played FM2 and GT3. I still play FM3 and GT1, 2, and 4 (on my 2nd copy). I'm a huge fan car customizing and having a wide selection of different cars. I play Forza for gameplay and customization. I play GT for the oddball cars (and it also has several cars I've owned/ own. Forza only has 1 car I own in real life, the AMX. mine's a 73, Forza has a 71, but there basicaly the same.) and the challenge.

gt5 better cause of the realistic steering, physics, settings, tuning, interior, graphics, highly modelled premium cars, 1000+ cars, and especially all its features like taking care of your car (changing oil and so on), watch replays with many options and views, taking photos in different places around the world on your cars, and too chose your own music in game and the ability to share almost everything. b-spec and a-spec and game modes and creating your own tracks, great updates and much more!

Well I haven't played forza motorsport but in gameplays and other comparizons it looks great...both games are great.....I only have played Gran Turismo 4 which was my first game and gran turismo 5 in a DVD Rental Shop where they had a playstation 3 and a 42 inch Sony Bravia

I think it's funny that people compare GT to FM. Between the release of GT4 and GT5 FM came out with 3 games and is very close to releasing their 4th now. I'd effing hope that a game that took that long to make was even worth comparing to Forza. Before you see GT6 Forza will be on FM9. Hell, if Forza gets any more real you'll actually die IRL when you hit a wall.

WHO GIVES A FLYING TWO SHITS ABOUT THE BATTLE BETWEEN FORZA 3 AND GT5! Realize GT5 is on its 6th game (including prologue) and Forza is on it's 3rd. Let forza get to it's 5th and then compare them two. Also there was ps1, ps2, ps3. How bout we get xbox 720 and forza then compare. Like really? Take EVERY aspect into consideration. If GT5 has more experience than forza, shouldn't it BLOW it away? But it really doesn't. The cars look so much better in Forza. Look at every detail then say something
