  • she sounds like fujita saki (who provides miku's voice)..

  • This is wonderful! I'll admit I'm one of those who thinks that the robotic quality gives Vocaloids a sort of identity and has a sort of charm about it, but at the same time, this makes me very happy that machines are becoming closer to sounding like humans. Call it twisted, but that's how I think.

  • I love how awesome she sounds!!

    Miku's getting older and better people ;u;

  • In the Vocaloid engine it's more synthesized and robotic because it's unable to create an imperfect voice. The notes were perfectly on time with no pitch mess ups.Now they are fluctuating with the sound of a human voice. Her voice wasn't intended to sound like a robot. They are supposed to sound as human as possible, this is how she was intended to sound like guys. You can't say this sounds horrible compared to the Vocaloid version.Sorry to burst your bubble, no harm intended.

  • Oh and is it me or does Miku sound older with this new software. Same happens to Rin... weird...

I guess they're growing up lol XD

  • This is crazy close to how Saki Fujita (Miku's voice bank provider) actually sings. Miku is getting better O.O

  • To people saying they prefer the robotic sound to Vocaloids-- Well, the program was intended to be there for songwriters who don't have anyone to sing their songs. I don't know about anyone else, but if I were one of those songwriters, I'd want vocals as close to human-sounding as possible. Technology is advancing, people. :D

  • Why complaining about this character thing? Miku sounds awesome in this get over it.

  • u know where to get the full version of this song?

  • Does anyone who know where to download "Vocalistener" for free without having to create any kinds of accounts and stuff?? :D

  • @xXxXDreamerGirlXxXx Vocalistener is coming bundled with Vocaloid 3, so no.

  • Personally...I like how the Vocaloids sound robotic. This gives it more emotion, yeah, but if you want them sounding real, why dont you just listen to the real voice actors?

    I dunno. The robotic voices were always one of the things I loved |D;;

  • so the people who made vocalistener composed this song? i love the style of this song, instruments, arrangement; reminds me of happier days.... Has the composer written more music like this?

  • yeah her voices sound really good.... but who cares how, who, where, Miku is great!, but i have heard some vocaloid song that sound as good as this, i think it all depend on the how the composer put in the time with the vocaloid...

  • it sound so much better on vocalistener2 than 1...

  • Holy Gawd. She sounds so friggin real.

  • I didn't think Miku could ever sound like this..EVER..

    *bows to VocaListener*

  • YAY!!!!!! MIKU!

  • sounds too general = boring, not like the Miku we love

  • @igor23ba yep I agree with you. Firs I thought it isn't Miku-chan D:

  • THAT WAS SCARY IT SOUNDED LIKE MIKU AND A HUMAN PUT TOGETHER!!! I really like this voice butI also like classic Miku too. It's impressive what they can do with software.

  • So, question... has VocaListener been used on an Engloid yet? Because I'd very much like to hear how it makes them sound.

  • Impressive.

  • I'm scared

  • Holy shit. This is NOT Miku.

  • Omg Miku o_o''

    I want VocaListener for my UTAU ;w;

  • O_O WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

I like this better than her new "soft" and "dark" versions O__O

I want to hear Luka with this. That would be.......holy crap O_O

  • woah miku

  • Amazing!! ;o;

  • this is really neat

  • Vocaloid already laughed in the face of other voice-simulation software...

With this, well, you can't compare to this.

  • Wow. It actually sounds natural!

It lacks a certain "emotion", BUT THANK GOD IT DOESN'T GRATE ON ME ANYMORE!

    Technology is so amazing.

  • Were can Down load it?

  • waste of a tax

  • Anyone think she sounds a bit like Minori Chihara?

  • A little. o:

  • I wish I could find it...But I don't think it's actually a software...I think it's actually something you do....

  • doesn't sound like Miku

    too human

  • I don't quite understand what the difference between an "anime" character and any given singer is. A good deal of voice actresses for anime characters are themselves professional singers, and I've heard songs from anime voice actresses that cover a great deal of styles, tones, and pitches. Perhaps you mean to say that Miku is more "cute" doing up-beat Idol Pop songs, and the abundance of long drawn out beats in, and possibly the key? of this song convey a tone more serious than you expected?

  • The point of Miku was an advance in music technology, not to sound like an anime character, weeaboo.

  • Then why do they call Miku, Rin, Len, Luka the "Character vocal" series?

  • Because they have characters designed to go along with the voices. Not the other way around.

  • And Miku's singing voice was meant to be cute and upbeat. And that's what she sounds like.

Besides, there's a newer demo that better captures Miku's voice while still sounding realistic.

  • lolwut Miku is made to be anything you make her dude, not just for one type of song or anything. She DOES have specialties, but that's not saying she's SUPPOSED to do anything xD

  • @MeerCE73 i know you might get bugged by this a lot sorry D: but they were only given a Look and with some of the companies some appearance descriptions like age hight and weight.

  • @MeerCE73 Well, not necessarily sound like an anime character, but certainly to create the anime esc jpop that is so very popular. Even in the interviews, the creators at Crypton wanted to make a "cute manga character that could sing" { ref 2:18 @ watch?v=xBZOlipfjk }. While the Miku software is responsible for advances in the industry, Crypton certainly intended for her to be related to anime & manga, even if it was not their only objective.

  • @MeerCE73 The point of the Vocaloid software was to advance technology. Miku, and all of the other voices, were made by independent companies. They wanted to make money so they put an anime character behind the voice.

  • @MeerCE73 No it was not. The point of miku was to make a back up voice actor in animes. They made her for the sole purpose of being bought by anime companies to back up voice actors. They never intended for the software to be used on its "own" without human voices involved. When people started making her sing and such, they then decided to make VL and such to back up the popularity.

  • @Kimilouluvspie That didn't happen. Miku was voice synthesizer with a Manga design, not a backup. She was made for singing.

    watch?v=xBZOlipfjkQ

They didn't think she would be this famous.

She created from a voice actor. (Kind of like "borrowing" voices)

Miku also isn't the first Vocaloid, just the first in Vocaloid2.

  • @MahSocks As much as it pains me to say this, use wiki. Wiki is usually wrong but the article about miku hatsune is right. She was made to back up voice actors, not made to sing on her own. when people started using her to sing on her own she became famous. Yes she is a voice bank from a voice actor, she is the first of the Vocaloid2 Series.

  • @Kimilouluvspie I NEVER use wikis for these facts. I used the news report on YouTube. You never know who edits them, but that doesn't mean I don't trust them. I just don't really use them alot.

  • @MahSocks Same here, my info is from an official site tho. I dont know if they uploaded anything onto youtube but the have a lot of written info on Vocaloid main website

  • @Kimilouluvspie It's dumb to fight over this anyways. Miku is about fun and music.

BTW why did you say you got it from a wiki, and then say you got it from an official site. I'm confused.

  • @MahSocks No i said they info they have of her on wiki is true, thats why it pains me to use wiki, because its not always true and because you would need to translate all the text from the official site if you wanted to read it (its not in english) and its not really fighting...its more like you dont seem to know why she was made.

  • @Kimilouluvspie NO! Now you're just being rude! I tried to end this conversation for being STUPID!

"Miku is about fun and music."

Did you not just read that!

  • @Kimilouluvspie Wait a minute... are trolling us?

    I'm deeply offended.

    Don't answer, you've been blocked.

  • @MahSocks What the hell? did you just troll me??? and who the hell is us? do i even know you???

  • @Kimilouluvspie I THOUGHT I BOCKED YOU!!

    GET OUT OF MY INBOX!!

  • @MahSocks OMG PLEASE REBLOCK ME YOU IDIOT!!! lol

  • @Kimilouluvspie she's not the first voicebank for vocaloid2, sweet ann was the first one, miku came next.

  • @oeningg that is true but i ment she was one of the first? I didnt realize sweet ann was the first lol

  • @Kimilouluvspie yup yup ˆ-ˆ you're not all wrong though, miku was the first japanese one, but overall vocaloid2 sweet ann came first. Still sometimes people forget about the engloids :/ that's why I corrected you :P

  • @oeningg thanks! Ive been so caught up about the japanese ones (like you said) and ignored the english ones lol

  • @oeningg Actually, Kaito and Meiko were the first Japanese vocaloids.

  • @MeerCE73 vocaloid1 you mean, cause miku was the first of japanese vocaloid2 series.

You did not read my comment did you? I was talking about vocaloid2, not one.

  • @Kimilouluvspie

Haha what. Do you think everything in Japan revolves around anime? There IS a music industry in Japan. No, Miku wasn't created with the purpose of singing solo. Yes, she was created for backup vocals. But not just for anime songs. You best be trolling.

  • @MeerCE73 ...are you talking to me? I think you replied to the wrong person unless you are a troll nitpicking what i said.

  • @MeerCE73 Why do you have to be an asshole about it?The world would be a much better place if we could all get along and be nice.

  • @MeerCE73 hey. everyone's entitled to their opinion. I personally like the anime character sound but that doesn't mean it's still not an advance in technology.

  • can someone upload a video where miku is made talking using this application?

  • ZOMG! Miku in human form! Henshin!~~~~~~~

But then again Miku sounds more moe~ in original form. Looks like now Miku have separate dual voice personalities. =)

  • I liked teh roboticness better =(

It was what made Miku, Miku!

    It hardly sounds like her.

    =(

  • Whoa...Miku sounds more realistic than ever!

  • wow Miku sounds really good with this~ ^O^

  • Fantastic !!!!! Miku sounds awesome with this software. Thanks for posting cityedge !!!!!

  • This is so amazing! Miku sounds a million times better than ever!

  • Wow. Now is more real :)
