it sometimes frustrated me a LOT when this happy music played and I kept on dying, dying, oh and, dying. but when I got the 100% completion and got through the candyland + mr Dark at the age of 8 or 9 I was more than satisfied.

I still love this game. Eagerly waiting the new origins game, hope that it'll be as hard or harder with these great controls. I kind of hated the 3D Raymans and hopefully the new 2D one is awesome!

I used to dream about this level all the time from the level preview in the title screen, because I could never reach it. The music was AMAXING, the level looked really fun and peaceful, and the pencils were really appealing.

Then I actually defeated Mr. Stone and his nightmare of a mountain and got to this place.

...it LOOKED really fun and peaceful. The pencils LOOKED really appealing. But I didn't realize that this world came AFTER the mountain, and therefore would be even HARDER. *SIGH*

Even though i lost my Rayman 1 game (which i hate myself for) on my ps1, i remember playing this, and Crash Bandicoot as a kid. My dad even remembers these games... as others said, i m a bit heartfelt by hearing this music, even though i don't think i really ever made it past Band Land as a kid (i have Rayman Advance, its not the same tho :/)

however i did find it wasnt as serious storywise compared to 1+2 mainly because it was trying to be more funny (in my opinion)
