@Makussan Difficile à dire... Rothko Chapel est une très bonne introduction, ainsi que les oeuvres courtes (The Viola in my life, For Franz Kline...). Evitez de vous lancer d'emblée dans ses oeuvres "marathon", comme Triadic memories (1h30), Crippled Symmetry (1h30) ou le 2ème quatuor (5h)... :)

The Rothko Chapel in Houston is only a small part of this video. Most of the shots are from other museums. Not exactly an accurate name for this video. I would have thought the chapel itself would be enough for a concept piece, but the fact that they muddled it with other museum works of Rothko rather negates the concept for me.

Actually I called this video "Morton Feldman : The Rothko Chapel" because it's the end of a piece of music by Morton Feldman called "The Rothko Chapel"... :-)

My French is so-so but it looks like the video info says Feldman was 15 when he composed the music. Wikipedia says he was 45 at the time.

Phew, talk about a disarmingly simple, yet haunting finale. Listening to this work in a museum hall, surrounded by Jasper Johns paintings, was such a lovely experience.
