During his watch, even before 2012 showed up, we saw plebes no longer chopping in Bancroft, chow calls all but cease, media privileges given out like candy, and slackening of overall discipline among the class of 2011.
I didn't know Fowler was that bad. I was pleased with the reduction of town liberty -- back to a level a reasonableness (from almost every night of the week). But in light of what 2011 went through (or didn't go through), I'm now depressed. Sadly, it appears the old adage of being "the last class to have a real plebe year" is actually coming to fruition.

Of course, when you consider that Fowler went through USNA during the days of Capt Jack Darby, it might not be too surprising. Capt Jack 'Dant in the last 70's and has been the only non-USNA grad since the early days of USNA to be 'Dant. Reportedly, Capt Jack was the best friend the plebes could have.
Of course, if Fowler is as bad as 06navyAIR indicates, the sad part is that he is following Rempt.
I guess if it were my choice, I would be careful what vids get posted. Certainly you don't want to get a phone call from some distant relative telling you they just saw your son/daughter getting reprimanded on the net for the whole world to see!!!!!
I agree...I thought a lot about that and was careful to edit out anyone that I thought was identifiable. If you think someone is recognizable when they are being reprimanded, please send me a message with details and I will see about re-editing. The action in these vids seemed very mild to me, no one made any serious errors, no one was seriously called out, and I felt it would give people a good idea of what I-day is like.
Are the Reefs Points pretty much a mini version of the Bluejackets manual? I had to read it for NSCC and of course, it was no bien.

Well, at least 2012's plebe year won't be under the tutelage of Rodney Rempt. Somehow the concept of Rempt and plebe year seem antithetical.
