And his name is General Grievious, not Private Grevious. Knowing his calculating nature, he wouldn't dare take them all on at once. This show was meant for kids so of course they have to have a villain that can do anything. I'm just saying it's pretty un-realistic of them to do this.

The good general greivous should have had a longer time in the film and I think thats why the animation series has done so well as we never seen much of the clone wars and it was good to see ventress again as the only clip of her in action was against those gladiators or one fight with anikan

The force let's you see glimpses of the future and it let's you read or "Guide" your and the opponents movements...
That doesn't mean that the Force let's the wielder automatically win but rather help him find a weakpoint and predict attacks.
But if the opponent in this case not a force sensitive doesn't have any holes in their defense (Like Grievous) they can beat Jedi quite easily? Except that Grievous weakness was the force he was unable to use. Imagine him with Forcepowers...Shit.

I think the reason that General Grievous ended up sucking so much in Episode 3 when compared to this was because of Mace Windu crushing his chest. That might have screwed with systems that could not be repaired thus hindering his ability to respond and fight as well as change his voice and make him cough a lot.
This is more or less the explaination we Fans have come to accept, though the crushing of Grievous' chest was actually added in at the last second because the Grievous character wasn't fully formed when the cartoons were made- ostensibly, he was ALWAYS supposed t be crippled. I prefer the idea Greivous wasn't always a gimp, personally.
Also his tech probably acted like a battery, him being a test and all. He was at full power and used it to the best of his abilities and then his systems drained.

I would like to point out that General grievous gets Asthma from getting his chest crushed by mace windu. It destroyed his lungs, and thats why he always coughs afterwards. =D
That's the cartoon's explanation of it. Fact is he's ALWAYS had the cough, when the animated series was first done Grievous' character wasn't fully developed... hence the sudden changes to make it right or at least closer in the 2nd season.
he has to use his four arms when he fights jedi knights and jedi masters he has no ability to use the force so hes at a huge disadvantage and the mane thing he has going for him with is his light sabar mastery and his agility which he lost when mace windu crushed his chest and cripled him
They actually show the Gen. before this. He was in a game called :"Star Wars Republic Commandos" Sadly ya don't fight him but he looks straight at you with those snake like eyes...Sent a chill up my spine when that happened. At least ya can send his body guards to the scrap hep :)

Grievous got screwed over. So badly that it shames Star Wars. In the CW cartoon his tactics and style of fighting was brilliant. He wouldn't even resort to 4 hand fighting unless he wants to which is quite rare. In the movies, he barely moves. No longer is he agile or using his entire body as a weapon. Instead he simply relies on his brute strength and 4 sabers. It's a pity how they ruined him.
I disagree on him in the new series. He is the same as he was in the movie, hiding behind his guards and immediatly resorting to 4-sabers and strength. Also, he seems to lose a hand in every episode.
Well if he's facing anything he deems weak he would not use 4 sabers. I mean why would he use 4 sabers on clones or a padawan? Against regular Jedi he uses all 4 arms.

Shaak Ti officially meets her end after fighting Starkiller on Felucia, she surrenders herself to the force rather then being killed by the Sith and this combined with Vaders betrayel of him (which she prophesized) began Starkillers journey towards the light.

reason he is a fail in the movie is cause like 1 hour or so ago before the ship scene he had his chest area crushed by mace windu which did this greivous badass version+crushed organs= a fail

I think they're talking not only about the movies, but in the new clone wars series, in the new clone wars series, he's as bad as the movies.. they REALLY downscaled him over time, I guess we can see why if nothing more than this AMV to prove it, but I think it ruined him as a character.

i h8 how they mad him sooo badass in the cartoon and then in the movie they turnd him into a coward instead of this badass robot-ninja that would tear through jedi, the greivous in this cartoon got me pumped cause i thought that his fight in the movie against the third best jedi obi-wan was going 2 mak me xplode into milk and cookies, we all know it shouldv been so epic that they would giv u a clean pair of pants on ur way out bcause u shit urself...

He seems to shift actually, There's times where he'll cough, others, he seems without it, Character not fully developed? Lol.. It said that supposedly, at some point his organics began to .. 'not agree' with his new body, So maybe it's just something of a standard cough, as a result of that, Then the flat out asthma came from windu's attack.

I would like to point out that General grievous gets Asthma from getting his chest crushed by mace windu. It destroyed his lungs, and thats why he always coughs afterwards. =D

That's the cartoon's explanation of it. Fact is he's ALWAYS had the cough, when the animated series was first done Grievous' character wasn't fully developed... hence the sudden changes to make it right or at least closer in the 2nd season.

he has to use his four arms when he fights jedi knights and jedi masters he has no ability to use the force so hes at a huge disadvantage and the mane thing he has going for him with is his light sabar mastery and his agility which he lost when mace windu crushed his chest and cripled him

They actually show the Gen. before this. He was in a game called :"Star Wars Republic Commandos" Sadly ya don't fight him but he looks straight at you with those snake like eyes...Sent a chill up my spine when that happened. At least ya can send his body guards to the scrap hep :)

Who here agrees that The Great General Grievous was a fucking MONSTER!? His tactics, skill with a lightsaber--pardon me, several lightsabers, etc...and so forth! If it wasn't for Mace getting a hold of him, no one would've stood a chance!

Grievous got screwed over. So badly that it shames Star Wars. In the CW cartoon his tactics and style of fighting was brilliant. He wouldn't even resort to 4 hand fighting unless he wants to which is quite rare. In the movies, he barely moves. No longer is he agile or using his entire body as a weapon. Instead he simply relies on his brute strength and 4 sabers. It's a pity how they ruined him.

I disagree on him in the new series. He is the same as he was in the movie, hiding behind his guards and immediatly resorting to 4-sabers and strength. Also, he seems to lose a hand in every episode.

Well if he's facing anything he deems weak he would not use 4 sabers. I mean why would he use 4 sabers on clones or a padawan? Against regular Jedi he uses all 4 arms.
