If you have played any hockey in your life, you would realize that that kind of "push" happens all the time when chasing the puck down low (but not that dramatic). @djil8 I can name a few of the many cheap hits Ovechkin has pulled. First off his hit against Brian Campell which resulted in a 2 game suspension. He didn't even hit Campell he pushed him head first into the boards. Second on May 8, 2009 his hit on Sergei Gonchar. Much like the hit in this video so Karma is a result. Lastly his hit on Tim Gleason was much the same w/ a knee on knee hit that hurts both players. Ovechkin is cheap and is a coward.

1)Ovechkin vs Cambell- First off, you proved yourself wrong. He clearly didn't "hit" cambell into the boards. If you have played any hockey in your life, you would realize that that kind of "push" happens all the time when chasing the puck down low (but not that dramatic). He fell awkwardly and yes, it was a penalty, but you cant tell ovechkin felt bad afterwards. He didn't do it intentionally to hurt him

@37mnhockey 2) Ovechkin vs Gonchar- If you look at the body language of ovechkin, its clear that he wasnt intentionally trying to nail him with his knee, at first he leans with the shoulder and his entire body is leaned towards the opposite way of gonchar, making it obvious that he was trying to hit him with his shoulder. Not to mention, his knee and toe werent even pointed outwards which would lead me to believe that he had no forthought to his him with his knee.

hockey If you want to look at a dirty knee hit, look at matt cookes knee vs. knee on ovie and pause at 1:03, you can see what it looks like to lead with his knee. This hit could have gone both ways
3) Ovechkin vs Gleason- Come on, ovechkin CLEARLY lead with his body and gleason turned DIRECTLY in front of him. ovechkin didn't turn to hit him with the knew, he was going straight. For gods sake, HE was more hurt than gleason

I highly doubt he wanted the knee, cooke positioned himslef so only ovechkin got the blow. Ovechkin hurt himself on the gleason one, I don't think he meant it.
