  • they still make u pay for this yh right fuck that theres better games for free

  • There will never be a game like old school UO again ever. If you weren't there you will never understand.

  • Woohoo! My home shard (server) in a video.

Europa is still a fun place to explore. True, the game is dated, looks dire when compared to modern games but UO smashes every other MMO to bits when it comes to depth and gameplay. 13 years and still addicted...

  • Ones in red are The Vesper Militia, -V-, and purple is The Duchy of Trinsic, DOT. I encourage anybody playing UO to try RP, it's a lot more fun then it seems, and a lot better then trolling and banksitting ^.^

  • how many times have you typed in to a text box "youve been trolled youve been trolled, you have proboly been told, dont reply to this guy hes just trying to catch a ride" ?

  • this game is still fantastic. its a shadow of its former self but still pretty incredible. no silly leveling up or treadmill progression and very little grinding. its bad news if you like new MMOs though... i always get sick of the new ones and end up back in UO again =p

  • I played this game for years back when it first came out and played it for years and left a few years or so after the Second Age before Renaissance.

  • Happy 1 year anniversary of your video....huge UO fan here too....peace!

  • @heymisterderp Wow can't believe it's been a year since I uploaded this! Time is speeding up I swear! Thanks for your comment. UO rules!

  • So except for the boat battle part. What makes this stand out from every other mmo out there? I dont see it.

Without nostalgia this looks like any mmo to me (except I much prefer these graphics to 3d ones to be honest.)

  • @ZombieToaster It's hard to explain unless you played it at the time tbh. It had a magic feel to it, largely due to the open nature of the game. There were no quests to do or standard routes to take. You'd take advice from players about the best way to do things and you'd build up networks with fellow players. It just felt like you had so much freedom.

  • @ZombieToaster Obviously you never played it, and if you didn't you shouldn't speak. The only game with this type of freedom is Eve.

  • @phils920 And you clearly didnt read my QUESTION, I made no statement.

  • I loved this video so much mainly from your commentary! I was laughing to myself when you were talking about 56k modems and the lag back then which brought back a lot of memories. Thanks for the great vid and for keeping the UO phenomenon alive!

  • @Izlude7 Thanks man. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • Karl ort Por!!!!!!

  • does anyone know the rap with break of dawn and parliment?

    and nice video

  • play on in por yllem 2. the server exists since february 2011. it has an interesting system. u can become a paladin, its like a faction who kills pk's. so you get well rewarded for pkk. the world has a good balance. and there are constantly over 1k clients on. go back in the past, play on ipy 2.

  • No game will ever give me the memories that UO have.

  • I WAS THE 666 VIEWER ALSO THIS GAME ROCKS PLAYING SINCE I WAS 3 YRS OLD too bad wow killed it wow is good but not as good as uo uo has the best custimastion houses and boats can color your own armor mounted combat multi skills wow and other games don't have those features

  • man i miss so much europa pre-trammel. i miss the community , best game ever!

  • I'm an EQ2 player now. I remember the endless hours I spent playing UO. It gives me big smiles to see that its still available. My biggest frustration in UO was that I had five houses in my bags, but at the time the servers were always so full that I could never find a spot to put them. The key to UO then was to craft and sell arrows until you had enough money to buy the best gear. Hopefully you could gear up before somebody came along and killed and looted you.

  • you forget meridian 59 and the realm

  • Actually the first MMORPG that was big and used 3D graphics was Meridian 59. The game is now free to play.

  • @TheRetroZombie Nice. I actually played that once back in the 90s and completely forgot about it.

  • Nice video and good commentary... Still playing UO myself for basically the reasons you discuss... What shard is this on, by the way??

  • @stpieraf Cheers man. This is Europa :)

    @xGUNISHMENTx

Wow.. Awesome. I play on Catskills, but every time I go to an old city, it's just about barren - Everyone is in Luna.. Sometimes Brit, but Vesper I rarely find others. Might be my luck though!

Hope you stay and enjoy yourself!
